Library JournalIn this imaginative little tale, Aris the angel recounts his life and struggles as a member of the Heavenly Court before the creation of the world and after the fall of humankind. Aris's greatest struggle arises out of the conflict between his allegiance to Kyrie, the Creator God, and his attraction to Lucifer, the rebellious but powerful and wise angel. Aris provides an angel's eye view of the unfolding development of good and evil as he observes the workings of God and Lucifer in the Garden of Eden, the murder of Abel by Cain, and the wickedness of the world during Noah's time. Ultimately, this is a predictable and sophomoric narrative that will appeal only to the most ardent angel lovers. Not recommended.
