An Essence bestseller, Before I Let Go
is the sexy story of three male best friends' dramatic search
for love, intimacy, and the perfect relationship.

Nate is a D-O-G with an obsession for conquering as many women as possible. But when he breaks his own rules and falls for two women at the same time, all hell breaks loose. Brendan is the type of man every woman claims to want -- at least until she gets one. Will he ever find a woman as sweet as he is, or is he doomed to be the poster child for "Good Guys Who Love Bad Girls"? Cory is successful, smart, and handsome. He's never gotten over his first love, and when he moves back to his hometown, he has to face secrets and make decisions that will change his life forever.

Before I Let Go is a sizzling, entertaining tale of how men come to terms -- in the most startling ways -- with lust, love, and life.

Being from Maryland I found myself totally wrapped in this book. I enjoyed the way the character's lives unfolded. I just could NOT put the book down!! I was engrossed in the characters lives. Having knowledge of the locations in the book really had me experiencing the characters lives as well. Great book Darren and keep them coming!

I thought this book was soooo good! I could not put this book down. I loved the way Dickey portrayed three very different versions of the black man. I found it interesting how things panned out at the end. The end of the book was the best for me. I simply loved it. And I must say before I'm done that 'I would never date my sister's ex...that is the ultimate betrayal.' LOVED IT!!!

Darren Coleman outdid himself. This is definitely a book that I would enjoy watching on the bigscreen. I fell in love with the characters, Cory, and his relationship with Nina, however the whole story had a twist. Maybe they give it a second chance on 'Don't Ever Wonder'.(Fingers Crossed)

This book is a huge eye opener into the minds and hearts of a few black men. It shows how life can definitely weave some tangled webs, but also show how very true CARMA can be.... Well done! I'm heavily anticipating the sequel 'Don't Ever Wonder'.

This book is amazing. It's an enlightening tale of three men and truly teaches women how to beware of the games men may play. However, women also need to know that this is fictional, and not to take it as seriously as they do. A few type errors, but other than that the book is great.. Not five stars, but I'll definitely give it four

I think this book was well written and it left me thinking that if it was a movie Darren Coleman would be a millionair. Everthing about it was great and I did think that Nate got what he deserved. Brendan and Cory....I have no words for

The book was well written and easy to read quickly. Every woman should be grateful to Darren Coleman for creating a document that details how whoreish men are. This book makes me feel less self-conscious about being single at age 32. I don¿t want to ever have to deal with, or be disrespected by, men as disgusting as the characters in this book. The book¿s summary classifies Nate as a dog. This is wrong¿Nate, Cory, and Brendan, are complete whores.

This book was ok. It had alot of loose ends, but the ending was ok. But I think he could have done a littl bit better.

This was pathetic attempt to portray the lives of the most childish indecisive characters. As I was reading the story initially it was boring, midway it was an adventure in absurdity and finally a weak endeavor to tie up so many loose ends. I have a few questions. Where did Nate work? What happened to Shue? How was Cory a ¿typical man¿? I only hope that the author¿s young students are not influenced by this book. The story was not even about men.

If you want drama from the first page to the last, then this is the book for you. Every character in this book had some major drama, especially the male characters. Each of them will make u want to choke them. As the story goes, men never get enough. This book was fast-paced and was a very good, interesting, and easy read although I didn't quite like the ending. However I applaud Mr.Coleman on his efforts. Can't wait for the next book. So bring IT!!!!
