Before Lucky is the Prequel to The Last Boyfriend. This book is a great peek into Zane's head. If you loved TLB and TLH like I did,
     you will love this book as well. J.S. Cooper has the amazing ability to make her characters real. You see right into Zane's soul;
his anger over his brother's death, his want for revenge, his inner battle over his feelings for Lucky. You watch him be pulled to
Lou's every Friday, and feel him fall for Lucky. It is a beautiful story! I started and finished this book yesterday, could not put it down.
I'd recommend this to everyone, phenomenal writing :)

I cannot wait to read more from J.S. Coooper, she has done it again!
Stay tuned for Lucky and Zane's first Christmas, you won't want to miss it!

I just love Zane Beaumont! I really like books from the male POV, and Ms. Cooper does a fantastic job! Getting inside Zane's head was a real treat. This book can be easily read before The Last Boyfriend or after The Last Husband, or even in between, but if you like the male POV; you'll definitely want to read it!!

Before Lucky was a great insight on what Zane was feeling when he first saw Lucky, and his first interaction with Lucky. We also get to see the constant turmoil he goes though with himself, he wants Lucky but he also wants to revenge his brother's suicide.

I absolutely loved Zane's POV, if you loved TLB and TLH this is a must read to see Zane's POV on how it all started!

Please remember that this is a novella about how Zane felt when he first met Lucky and NOT a novel retelling The Last Boyfriend or The Last Husband from Zane's POV!

Before Lucky is the prequel to The Last Boyfriend. If you've read The Last Boyfriend and The Last Husband your going to love this book. It gives great incite to the main character Zane Beaumont and how he truly fell in love with hard working waitress/student Lucky. Zane is a rich playboy with no intentions of ever changing his ways. That all changed the day he met Lucky. Once Zane meets Lucky, he can think of nothing else. With so much going on in Zanes life should he even pursue her. Buy the book to find out. Definitely worth the read. I've read all of author J.S. Coolers books and have loved them all.

Loved this book. This is an awesome series. It's the prequel before Last Boyfriend and Last Husband. This book gives Zane's point of view and the first time he sees Lucky. Once I started I was hooked and just could not put the book down. After reading this I highly recommend you read the Last boyfriend and the Last Husband if you have not done so already. Congrats Jamie another awesome book. You rock!!!

If you are anything like me you fell in love with Zane and Lucky

If you are anything like me you fell in love with Zane and Lucky in The Last Boyfriend & the Last husband, and in Before Lucky we get a little more insight into Zane Beaumont. I loved getting into his brain and seeing how his brothers death had affected him and also seeing his initial reaction to Lucky. Seeing the months of him going to Lou's just to see Lucky was sorta comical coming from someone like Zane. I don't think I could have ever pictured Zanes thoughts, so I super excited that i got the inside scoop from Before Lucky. Super quick read (it is a novella lol) and totally worth the time and energy.

I am so addicted to this series....it is one of my 2013 favorites!
This a novella from Zane Beaumont's point of view. This novella takes the reader back to the beginning. Zane Beaumont is on a mission. He is seeking revenge for his brother's death. His life has spiraled out of control. Guilt and the need for revenge consume him. His every thought is centered around this ...that is until he meets Lucky.
In this novella we see the instant attraction Zane has for Lucky. He is drawn to her and cannot stay away. His attraction becomes as much of an obsession as his need to have justice for his brother's death. But can have both.
The reader gets into Zane's head.
This short story is fantastic. The series is fantastic. These characters come alive and jump out of the pages.
I look forward to more of Zane and Lucky's story. Don't miss this series!Reading OrderThe Last BoyfriendThe Last HusbandBefore Lucky (a reader may want to read this before The Last Boyfriend or right after The Last Boyfriend)(

Oh how I love Zane Beaumont.

JS Cooper has done it again. She never fails to bring great books!

Before Lucky is in Zane's POV which I know many of us have wanted since we read The Last Boyfriend. Zane has been attracted to Lucky since the first time he saw her. This book helped us understand what he was thinking when we were yelling at him in TLB. He is torn between going for Lucky or his mission to bring Braydon down.

I CANNOT wait for Zane and Lucky's First Christmas and Noah's story

I LOVE ZANE BEAUMONT!! If you haven't already fallen head-over-heels in love with Zane, you will now!

Before Lucky is a novella from Zane's POV and takes place at the beginning, when he first meets Lucky. He was consumed by guilt over his brother's death and his need for revenge on the guy responsible. His attention was solely focused on bringing Braydon down...until he met Lucky.

I definitely enjoyed reading Zane's thoughts when all of this started and understanding him a bit more. He was instantly attracted to Lucky when he first met her at Lou's Burger Joint. This attraction both scared him and tore at his loyalty to his mission. However, he found himself looking forward to Friday nights, to see Lucky -- the brown-haired, brown-eyed waitress who caught his attention with her carefree laugh and spunky personality. I loved seeing how true to her and protective of her he was, even from the beginning, before he even knew her! <3

I love ZANE AND LUCKY'S STORY!! I can't wait for the next book to this series, Zane & Lucky's First Christmas!

Favorite quote: "Before Lucky, I had been a shadow of myself. I’d never believed in love or soul mates. I’d never even wanted anything more than what I had. But now, now I felt differently. I was willing to see where this path took us. I was willing to take a risk, I wanted to get to know her better. I wanted to kiss her and feel her. I wanted to be with her. For however long it lasted. I wasn’t going to run away anymore." (okay, more like favorite paragraph, lol)

I did not want it to end. I wanted Zane to retell everything in his POV. I loved it. Loved it. Read it one sitting. I could stop reading.
I want to recommend that you read The Last Boyfriend before you read Before Lucky otherwise there will be some spoilers. I think what made The Last Boyfriend more intense for me was the fact that I had no idea what Zane was doing. Whether he cared for Lucky was simply using her like every other girl he took out. Plus, I was not sure who the good or bad guy was in the books.
Before Lucky starts from the very beginning where Zane first walks into diner and sees Lucky. Lucky from that point continues to be his waitress every Friday as he brings date after date to the diner. We get to look inside Zane’s inner thoughts about his goals and how he came to care for Lucky.
This is a novella, but it set up everything nicely. If you have not started reading the Forever Love series, I recommend it highly. There is love with a bit of mystery.
When I was done with Before Lucky, I wanted to start rereading The Last Boyfriend all over again.
Great job J.S. Cooper, I loved it. It made me love Zane even more.
A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Here is a review of Before Lucky by JS Cooper. This is the 3rd book in the Forever Love series but a prequel to them. This is Zane's view of when he first see's Lucky and his attraction to her. His feelings he has for her, that he denies, but needs to protect her. This leads right up and actually has a little overlap to the book, The Last Boyfriend. A great book, I love having the guy's perspective. It'll make you love Zane even more!!!

    Before Lucky!!!

Before Lucky is truly a great love story it helps you see how the mind of a man works when he finally finds the girl that changes the way he looks at the entire world. Its a great way to set up the rest of the series and helped me understand Zane's character.

    3.5 Stars!!

I have enjoyed the Forever Love series by J.S. Cooper since the first book came out! While I’m not usually a fan of the New Adult genre, there are some books that just make me smile. The Last Boyfriend and The Last Husband were extremely cute and I couldn’t put them down when I started them. So when I found out that J.S. was going to be releasing Before Lucky, I was excited!
However, once I started reading it, even though I did enjoy that the story was told from Zane’s POV, I didn’t enjoy this story as much as I thought that I would. There were some parts of it that seemed to be dragged on, in my opinion, as well as there were a lot of repeats that were happening. If you have already read The Last Husband than you understand what Zane is hiding.
Overall, while I did enjoy the other books in the Forever Love series, this one just wasn’t up to par for me.

Before Lucky is written from Zane's POV and is the chain of events before he meets Lucky and up until the beginning of The Last Boyfriend.

It was really interesting to see what he was thinking every time that he walked into Lou's Diner on a Friday night with a "date" when he was only using that as an excuse to see Lucky. It gives a lot more insight into Zane's thought process and the things that he was going through at the time. I am really looking forward to "The Other Side of Love".

This book is too beautiful for a novella!
The story begins three months before lucky and zane's relationship started and it was written on zane's pov
which makes the story more exciting.
In this book we get to learn more about zane's life before he met lucky and how good he is which makes
me love him even more, we also learned zane's struggle to keep lucky out of his life because he wants to
focus on his mission and we get to have some answers to questions that we had after reading the first two books
in the forever love series, compare to the last boyfriend & the last husband,
before lucky is a fun, light and sweet read. As usual js cooper did a fantastic job

Before Lucky is point of view of Zane Beaumont, when he meets her, how it came about how he met her, just knowing a point of view from a man's perspective, its so cool. Yeah, we always think that all man are alike, but when he stumbles his words, when he says the wrong things, at the wrong time, and tries to make it up. Zane just knows that Lucky is not like all other women out there, that we are not all the same, and he never thought he would fall in love, or head over heels for this girl. He can't stop thinking about her all the time. Lucky is different, just nice sweet girl, with a little spunk in her, that catches Zane's eyes. Love this story!!!! If you haven't read "The Last Boyfriend" , I definitely recommend it, before reading this. You'll love Zane.. and Lucky!!! :)
