About the Author

Kimisoo Kim is a Korean American who majored in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design, The New School.

Upon graduation, her career began with an internship at Anna Sui. Her path as a professional designer was solidified with experience at prestigious brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor Loft, Target Private Label, and more. Her story has been featured in The New York Daily News and Time Out New York Magazine.

However, the glamorous life she once led in the bustling city vanished in an instant. After marrying and giving birth to her daughter, her life veered in an entirely unexpected direction. She moved to a place where she was unknown, beginning what she describes as the life of "Mommy Papillon."

Six years later, after returning to her life in New York City, this chapter of her life was also dramatically disrupted by an unforeseen trial when a car accident left her disabled. Yet again, in 2024, a second accident struck.

Until that moment, she had been fighting to heal from the physical and emotional scars of her past. However, this second shock marked a significant turning point in her journey.
