    A MUST READ

A must read for any serious student of poltical history as well as modern politics. Quite possibly the most revealing look at one of the most principled politicians of modern time.

    A DETAILED POLITICAL HISTORY

While Goldwater was identified in the media as irresponsible and ready to blow-up the World, it was the man that defeated him, Lyndon Johnson, who initiated a reckless military venture in Vietnam that resulted in terrible human suffering and U. S. defeat. Yet, it came not from a 'wild-eyed' Barry Goldwater, but from a 'caring' Lyndon Johnson. No doubt, the repercussions of this on American culture and politics was an important factor in the election of Reagan in 1980. This book is must reading for any student of this period.
