Outstanding Text for Photographers Interested in Photographing the Nude.

A comprehensive, superbly organized script for successful photography of the nude ...beneficial to both new and veteran photographers. A concise and detailed presentation accompanied by pertinent illustrations ensures success. The author covers every aspect of the photographic process from initial concepts to camera and lighting decisions; to selection and interactions with models; to locations; to the photographic experience itself; to final editing and printing, in a clear direct manner. Any questions or concerns a photographer might consider or be uncertain about are addressed frankly and professionally in this text.

I enthusiastically recommend this book to all readers interested in photographing the nude.

    Great information for beginners!

This was an excellent book! Nude photography is more than just picking up a camera and all the technical aspects that go with it such as lighting and composition, but also interacting with the model appropriately and making the model feel comfortable. Peter does a great job of emphasizing this aspect of photography in the book. As a model, I've worked with beginner photographers that have not realized the importance of building rapport with the model and offering direction, so it's a great way for them to learn about this aspect of photography. This book is also easy to ready and great for beginners to understand. Peter's beautiful works are a great addition to the book and show his passion for nude photography.

Fellow Rochestarian supports local author and artist.

Although I am not a professional photographer myself, I would have to disagree with the statements that the book is full of typos and that Amherst Media made a bad selection of authors.

As I read the book it was clear to me that the author has a passion for his selected form of artistic expression and what he wants to do is share his experiences with other photographers with the intent of inspiring as well as providing instruction to people who might be interested in his chose form of photography.

The pictures strengthened the message that the author was delivering within the written text. Although I am not a photographer myself, I enjoyed the images that were selected for the book.
I would recommend this book for anyone interested in the art form of artistic nude photography.

The images are great and the text is easy to read and understand even for those of us who are not professional or amateur photographers. I look forward to putting this book on my coffee table for friends and family to enjoy.
