Beginnings: Book I (The Plague)
June, 2012...
Bombs explode in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Tijuana. They seem completely unrelated and as they happen South of the United States, no one worries too much as there aren't many casualties and just reports of acrid smoke.

July, 2012...
The world no longer looks away in apathy as the acrid smoke gives way to looters and cannibals who are more interested in attacking their fellow human beings than raiding the nearest Wal-Mart.

August, 2012...
The center no longer holds. Governments world wide begin to collapse; Central and South America have been reduced to rubble by powerful bombs; the United States is under complete quarantine and the rest of the world hangs on by a mere thread.

Decisions...
A group of survivors from all walks of life have gathered in Versailles, France. At first the place was a refuge but now it has become their own private prison. Few have any sort of formal training and some have only one thought: escape. In order for them to have a semblance of a future, they will have to make the harrowing journey from France back to the United States. A mission of this magnitude is always easier planned than executed...
