I loved the story until Anthony left his Wife Lily alone at his country home for months afraid she would hear the rumors. He was suppose to be investigating what rumors had surfaced so he could fix them instead he was in London escorting Miss Hamilton to dinners, balls and rides in the park enjoying himself. I hated that Lily forgave him so easily! If he loved her so much why didn't he tell her the truth after they were married! I'm disgusted at how the last half of the book ended. I just didn't like the treatment of Lily.

A true love story. I couldn't put it down. If you are soft hearted like me though you might a tissue or two. The heroine in the story is mute, and how she wins the heart of one of the gentlemen in town is great. It is not a bodice ripper like some historical romance, it is just a good love story. One to keep in your permanent library.
