"Sit down Vivian!" the nun scolded. It appeared Vivian Cature was hanging onto the priest's skull, in a head lock of some kind with her left arm wrapped [unyielding] around his shoulder. "Child I said to sit." The sister repeated as she drew back and landed the ruler on Vivian's extended arm, but the girl did not let go until she was grasped by the nape of her neck and forced to her seat.

"Stephen King is stalking me....rummaging through my ideas. I have asked him to stop but he won't do it. I told him to use his own ideas but he says they are gone... like breaths and heart beats they have been exhausted."

Meet the Author

The official biography:
Janna Hill is an East Texas author of fiction, short stories and poetry. Most of her career was spent as a licensed nurse before dabbling behind the literary scenes as a ghost writer. In January 2012 she decided to step out of the shadows and attach her own name to her efforts and hasn't regretted the choice for one moment. She doesn't shy away from her audience either saying, "Fans are just friends and family I haven't met... or wrote about yet."

This book is a "prequel" to Between the Rage and Grace

This book is a "prequel" to Between the Rage and Grace. In my opinion it would have been better to have Behind the Rage as the first book in the series for a couple of reasons.
    1. The pace and suspense are more intense.
    2. It explains a few oddities that (to me) needed more explanation in the 1st book.
I have to admit I'm impressed with how the author covered so much information and wrapped up a span of three decades and I gave this 4 stars.

I thought Behind The Rage was wonderfully strange!! The writing

I thought Behind The Rage was wonderfully strange!! The writing is unique and a welcome relief from the cookie cutter story lines that seem to be flooding the market. This book goes back (a prequel) to tell the story of Maggie and Musalinda's mothers. They were best friends but then it gets ugly and of course there is a man. Its a little raunchy but real. The paperback is a very nice book but I got the trilogy on nook to finish the series and will probably wait for the trilogy to come out in print. Surely it will and I hope it's as nice as this one. - GW
