His experiences are no secret to her. She sees where his world turned upside down and offers him a helping hand. But her own secrets stay buried, locked away until a knock on her door has her gasping for breath.
Libby's fear paralyzes her as she comes face to face with her demons and, determined to stay strong, she battles for a way out.

Read Bk 1 in series first. . . I have to admit to feeling a bit lost and out of sorts in spots, but things have been simple to a point. Taylor and Libby have different reasons for being at the ranch. The differences bring them together. Their private battles ties them together. To understand it all read the first book in the series because it allows you to see the real struggles of Taylor. Its not that you can't read this book as a stand alone, but you will be much happier in the end to have read the first book. There are things that I wanted to know and to find those answers they are most certainly in the first book. ARC read from NetGalley.
4.9 Stars SEXY & suspensy Anti-Hero Cowboy Romance ¿ We already met Taylor Reese in Beneath The Surface - where he was this totally unresponsible, drug-addict brother of our hero Kyran. Nothing much changed .... he's still all that. But now his Dad makes him stay at his Uncle's farm in Wyoming for six months!!!! He needs to clean up his act, and unless he does that, he will be cut off from the Reese family - and for Taylor more importantly, the Reese money. So poor Taylor finds himself on this smelly little horse farm with nothing to do. That won't last for long, because his uncle has lots to do for him The only interesting thing about this whole mess are the people who are living in the cottage behind the farmhouse. Beautiful redhead Libby and her adorable 6 year old son Levi. They're on the run from their past and have found a peaceful place to live and work on Uncle Jacob's farm. (Libby is working as a horse-riding teacher.) It takes them all a long while to like each other, because basically, Taylor is a horrible ass to everybody. He's selfish and irritated and in pain and he's behaving like a little kid. But with a little time and the attention of Libby and Levi and Uncle Josh, Taylor slowly starts to live again... But not only Taylor's past is a point of trouble for the little 'family' on the farm.... Libby's past comes into town too.... WILL TAYLOR FINALLY BEAT HIS ADDICTION? WILL LIBBY & TAYLOR GET THEIR HEA??? WILL THERE BE A CLIFFHANGER o.O OR WILL EVERYBODY DIE AT THE END??? NOPE..... I'm not telling you ¿ I don't want to spoil anything!!! ¿¿¿ (OK - I can tell you that there's no cliffhanger ;) ) _______________________________________ I REALLY LOVED THE BOOK!!! This was soooo different from every other book we read. This hero - Taylor - he's such an idiot, ass, selfish prick, petulant little boy - not your typical hero material. But that's what made me like him even more. You had to look really hard to find something good in him - but it IS there. It just takes him a while to grow up. He's not the way he is without reason of course - he was basically abandoned by his parents - his mom died when he was a baby and his dad hired nannies and maids to raise him and his brother Kyran.... Plus a lot of other 'Daddy and Brother Issues' that all came together to make him want to forget everything by taking drugs. But he's now 28 - he should've gotten over his childhood troubles a long time ago. That was the one thing that bothered me a bit. The whole book would've made a bit more sense to me if Tayler would've been somewhere between 19 and 25 - but with 28 he's a bit old in my opinion....but - it didn't bother me all that much ¿ I really enjoyed reading this book. It has everything a great book needs... LOTS OF SEXY SCENES! Moving scenes Funny scenes Suspensy scenes Frustrating scenes Romantic scenes If you like sexy Romances with a bit of suspense and a total anti-hero who will turn into a really hot cowboy - GO BUY THE BOOK!!!! ¿
