Overview

A long the journey of Lent -- our spiritual passage from winter to spring -- we examine our souls and ask God to help us draw close to him. We ask him to help us grow from being children in the faith to being adults. This examination also introduces pain into our lives, for we recognize ourselves for what we are: Christians who have often failed, sinners in need of grace... Yet our temporary pain leads us to a greater fullness of fellowship with God and others, just as the temporary anguish of Jesus' cross led to victory over suffering and death."

Paul Stroble leads the reader in the journey from immature to mature faith as we behold the amazing power of Christ crucified. We are invited to explore the Revised Common Lectionary texts in order to receive from God the gifts of grace, a deeper understanding of his work, and renewed faith within our hearts.

A seven-session leader's guide is available for use in Sunday school classes or other small groups.
