Overview

My name is Julia, and I'm the daughter of Connor and Ellery Black. I may look like Daddy's little princess, but I'm far from it. My life consists of lying to my parents and sneaking out of the penthouse. My CEO millionaire father seems to think that at the tender age of sixteen, I'm too young to date boys. My mother, the artist, tries to stay neutral and doesn't say too much.

My best friend London and I hang out almost every day. We love to shop, and we try to pick up all the bad boys that our parents wouldn't approve of. We occasionally get into trouble, but I can usually talk my way out of it, except for the time my father caught me and Brody Sullivan having sex in my bedroom.

This is the story of my journey through life, in which I try to figure out who I am, from the time of my sixteenth birthday until the day I marry the man of my dreams, Jake Jensen. My aspirations, dreams, hard work, defiance, and smart mouth are all woven into one thing - me, being Julia!

So, we know Julia can be a diva but is that her true personality? I have to admit that I wasn't sure what to expect when Sandi Lynn decided to give us the Black children's stories. What a wonderful journey to take as Julia navigates her teen years and into adult hood. Will she be lucky like her parents and find her one true love? The example that Connor and Ellery give to their children of that never ending, soul devouring love is amazing. It gives us all hope. Julia doesn't have an easy time as any teenager would expect but she has the love and support of her entire family. Even Collin is a pretty amazing younger brother. I truly enjoy spending time with the Black Family.

It was so neat reading between the years with Being Julia we knew of her but didn't know everything that went on. Yes she was is spoiled but she is cute about it. It was so nice to see she still had the same issues that every teenage girl has. I loved the scenes between her and her "daddy" they had my heart in my throat a couple of times. I loved the entire series and I can't wait for Colins book!

I wasn't quite ready to read about the grown up kids of Ellery and Connor the main characters in Black Series since I loved them so much. But I love Sandi Lynn Books, it was overall a great series.

I always wonder how the lives of some characters turn out, Julia being one of them. (Collin too! Lol) but I loved this novella and all the details surrounding her life growing up. I like the Black family and everything they represent. Infinity. The author wrote another fantastic peice of art. Definetly will reccomend. Love, heartache, hope and happiness, a reality people should strive for.
