Having played in bands most of my life, the first thing I look for in a novel about music is authenticity. Does it ring with musical truth, does it hit all the right notes? In the case of "Believe in Me," the answer is a definite yes. Beyond that, this novel makes you feel the pain and joy of its characters, not in a manipulative way, but in a way that speaks to what we all experience when searching for what matters in life. Was this review helpful?
