Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Elisabeth Greenberg
In this rollicking book told in the voice of Baby Bear, who demands to be called by his true name Sam, Bear and Goldilocks are in total sympathy. They both hate porridge, they both love jumping on beds, and they are friends, through thick and thin. When Sam discovers Goldilocks in his house, on a dare from Little Miss Hoodie (yes, her hood is red), and introduces himself, they are, as he says, "quite civilized." And Goldilocks is definitely a good girl; she is planning to use her allowance to replace his way-too-small chair. When his parents show up, Sam and Goldilocks cook up a plan for her escape and discovery. Sam becomes a hero as he pretend to chase Goldy away while his parents run. He is rewarded with breakfast burritos, a delicious change from porridge. Children familiar with the Three Bears tale will love this comic take on the folktale. Reviewer: Elisabeth Greenberg

Full of fun and silliness, this lighthearted tale and vibrant illustrations are a delight. Really good book for the younger set. Even as an adult I found it interesting and funny.

Delightful book! Well put together, superb graphics, highly recommended for both children and for collectors of illustrated children books.
