five bright shiny stars;)

This book was amazing. It was creative, sexy and very intense. I read this one way into the night. I had to know how this story was going to end. There were so many great twists and turns in this book. And the sex was so hot I had to throw off the blankets and turn on the fan. But really the chemistry between Cherry and Logan was what I found to be so addicting & beautiful. Wow, Shayla Black once again proves why she is the queen of erotic novels. She writes what this woman wants hot books with a plot;) All Hail the Queen! 300+ pgs of pure magic

Suspense, danger, erotic sensuality, love, regret and redemption...and that's just in the first couple of chapters! BELONG TO ME, the latest release by Shayla Black, has all of that plus a whole lot more. From beginning to end, I was riveted and just all around blown away. Tara Jacobs will do anything to save her best friend and fellow FBI agent, Darcy, who disappeared while investigating an underground slavery ring. She's even committed herself to be trained as a sexual submissive at a local BDSM to help further the investigation. However, she has not signed on to being trained by the man who ripped her heart out 12 years ago, a man by the name of Logan Edgington. She is not willing to put her trust in him again. Logan can't believe that the woman who he's been in love with for the last twelve years has walked back into his life. He had his reasons for letting her go, but he ripped his heart out when he did. Now that he has her, he's never letting her go, and he'd give his life to protect her. As she investigates the dangerous world of human trafficking, he may have to do just that. Whew, mamma! This was off the charts hot. Logan reeked of hot Dom with his uber alpha ways, but at the same time he melted my heart with the care and devotion he showed Tara even when she was blowing him off. And the combination of hard exterior and soft-hearted interior was just way too sexy. Tara wasn't exactly my favorite person in the beginning because the reader knows from the beginning what the reason behind the break-up was. So, it wasn't easy seeing her hate Logan. But she warmed up to him (boy did she ever), and I could understand her reticence. The BDSM was moderate, nothing too heavy, but it was very erotic. The sex was super sensual, and the love between Tara and Logan was obvious. The plot was suspense and gripping. I knew who the bad guy was pretty early on, but I couldn't figure out they "why" of it. There was a lot of action, great dialogue, and wonderful supporting characters that really helped bring it altogether. This is the fifth book in the Wicked Lovers series, and I have to say that this is by far one of my favorites in this series. I think it could be easily read as a standalone without any problems as well, so you don't have to worry about missing essential back story. BELONG TO ME was erotic romantic suspense at its best. And with the BDSM angle in there as well, it was just about perfect. Tara and Logan have definitely made me fall in love with this series all over again! **(book given in exchange for an HONEST review)

Perfection!!!!!

Shayla is so wickedly talented. I so LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Logan and Tara's story. Logan has been my favorite so far in Shayla's Wicked Lovers Series (although I really am digging Xander (bk7) and can't wait for Tyler's book (bk6)). Shayla does a great job of taking this tough talking Dom and showing us just how vulnerable he really is. How when given a chance to be close to the woman he loves with all his heart and soul again. Logan will stop at nothing to make her his once and for all.

Shayla does a great job with Tara too. We feel Tara's pain about the boy she has always loved and hated yet never forgot or forgiven his betrayal. But when faced with trusting Logan or failing on her mission, Tara knows she has to trust Logan one more time. Tara also knows she is doomed to fall hard for Logan, but is she willing to take a chance at getting her heart broken again just like he did all those years ago.

Shayla Black's Belong to Me, is such a wicked good read I never wanted Logan and Tara's story to end. Logan & Tara are HOT. Five-Alarm HOT!!!! If you have not started Shayla's Wicked Lover Series I would highly recommend them. I look forward to seeing snippets of them in the next two books *fingers crossed*

A Sexy, Intense Installment To The Series That Never Disappoints!

From page one, I knew this was going to be a hot, wild ride. Maybe it was the "thwack" of Logan's well-trained hand on the posterior of a willing submissive or my favorite group, Depeche Mode, playing in the background. Whatever the case may be, this book did not disappoint. Fade in to Logan Edgington, the sexy Navy Seal brother of Hunter and Kimber, putting his best Dom moves on a willing subject. While Logan prides himself in being the ultimate Dom, he still has problems totally committing to anyone. Though he is adept at keeping his willing partners teetering on the edge of orgasm, he has kept his own libido on serious lock-down. The reason for this self-imposed celibacy? Tara Jacobs. A sweet high school romance, which led to Logan being her "first everything," ended abruptly, leaving unresolved feelings. When Logan and his fellow Doms are called into a powwow with the head Dom in charge, Thorpe, to be briefed on collaboration with the FBI, the last person he's expecting to see is his lost love. Tara, who is now a FBI agent, is working a sex slave auction case. Apparently, while working undercover as a Submissive, a female agent has gone missing. After getting a lead on the whereabouts of the missing agent, Tara and Logan head for Fantasy Key, a super exclusive BDSM club in The Keys. While playing a couple, Tara and Logan have to keep one step ahead of the club's head Dom and elusive owner because one false move could be permanently damaging. When Tara has to make a decision between following her heart or following her head, will her decision cost her a renewed love for Logan or her life? I love this series and loved this book. While there was a lot of sex, the book had a lot of heart and soul. Tara's constant inner struggle with trusting Logan, again, and wanting to hate him make her a totally likeable heroine. She doesn't give in easily and makes Logan work for it. Logan's openness and honesty with Tara will make your heart melt. This is truly a man in love, even though he has a hard time expressing himself. I found myself rooting for them, wanting them to work out their issues. Tara is a smart, sexy woman with a penchant for all things submissive. Logan is the dominant alpha male who can crack the whip and wear a pair of leathers like nobody else. They are perfect for each other. Ms. Black totally hit this one out of the park. She has written some of the hottest BDSM scenes that I have read. Word of warning - the scenes are so intense you just may have to sit inside a walk-in freezer while reading them. Holy Hotness!!! This one is a winner. -Reviewed for The Romance Reviews

Incredible and Powerful story that proves Shayla Black is at her best

Belong to Me is another one of Shayla Black's best. From the very first word to the last you are hooked. Logan is simply an amazing character. His love for Tara knows no bounds. This book will take on an an emotional journey. From the happy moments, the funny moments, the sad, the dark and the ones where your heart breaks and you cry. Shayla Black is one of the best authors out there. She never leaves you disappointedand she gives everything to her writing. This series is so beautifully written and to be able to feel all the emotions the characters go through in each and every book in this series is remarkable. I do not believe that there is another author out there that can take you on a journey like that in a book. At the end of this book you realize one thing that loves does really conquer all.

Belong to Me by Shayla Black is a suspenseful, emotional journey into the world of BDSM and the FBI, that will give you chills and trills. A 6 out of 5 stars!!!!
I was given a gift at RomCon, a Galley Copy, my mouth fell open as I took it. Why you say? It's because I had pre ordered the book and somehow Barnes and Noble cancelled my order and I was prepared to wait until closer to the release day to try to re order. And it was handed to me by the author herself, Shayla Black, who just happened to be staying in the room next to mine with author Sylvia Day. I only own 3 Arc's which I cherish but anywho let me get back on topic. Belong to Me is the fifth book in Shayla's Wicked Lovers Series.
So without further ado may I present Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers Series; these books can all stand alone but I find it more enjoyable to read them in order. I prefer to do that with all series that I read, that's just how I roll.
Can I just say at this point that each book in this series just keeps getting better and better? Another book that I found very hard to put down each night, I mean who really needs sleep after all??? I mean let's put a FBI agent in the hands of her first love who broke her heart to learn how to be the perfect submissive; when submitting to him is the last thing on earth she wants to do, in order to go undercover to save her best friend. Fireworks and spankings are about to fly.
Logan was just a young man when he found his mother brutally murdered and received a death threat against his new girlfriend Tara. He almost cost Tara her life by arranging a secret meeting that she never made it to. Logan is a Navy Seal who gets the job done because he doesn't give a damn if he lives or dies as long as he completes his mission. He lost his heart as a young man to the love of his life and he hasn't been whole since. When years later he knocks on her door she simply shuts it in his face sealing his heart in his self-made coffin. Now he has another chance to make it right, but he has to get Tara ready for her first very dangerous mission and keep her safe from his mother's killer that has come back to haunt them.
Tara, aka Cherry, will do anything it takes to prepare for her mission. To save her best friend and to show her step-father, the FBI and Logan (the man who she gave her innocence and her heart to) that she has what it takes to be a FBI operative. She'll do what she must even if she'd rather take a bullet than submit to Logan; after all he used her then dumped her, but it seems he's the only one who can train her and keep her safe while on her mission. Tara can trust him with her life but can she trust him with her heart again?
Be With Me was so well written and had me so immersed in Tara's training that I almost called my husband "Sir" a few times when he spoke to me. The story Shayla has penned is so well orchestrated, filled with emotion, suspense, and hope that love will triumph that it boggles the mind the talent she has in storytelling. The trust and bond that must be formed between Logan and Tara is amazing to watch develop and the secondary characters enrich and support the story. I certainly hope to see a few of them in the future.
I would have to give Be With Me a 6 out of 5 stars. I love this story, this series and canna wait for the next book to come out.

loved it......

I am a huge fan of Shayla Black and this book has quickly become one of my favorites. She has an amazing way of bringing her characters to life and I enjoy falling in love with them and seeing their stories unfold. I have read all of Shayla's books in this series and this one is a definite #2 with Delicious being #1.....I highly recommend this book and series to other romance fans!

Sensual. Erotic. Sinful. Wicked.

This book is all that and then some. Ms. Black met and exceeded all my expectations of Logan Edgington (a.k.a. MY future husband)! And let me tell you, they were pretty high.

From the first page this book grabbed my attention and didn't lose it. Well, with the occasional required break for food or sleep that is. But of course, even then, all I could think about was Logan; all I would dream about was Logan. And how could I not? The man is perfect. He is seriously everything I want! The beautiful blue eyes, the Dom voice, the lickable tats, the maddening skills this man has to twist a woman around his finger. I would be at his feet!

Watch out Jack Cole, there's a new Dom in town and I think I can safely say that if I had my choice, I'd want Logan! *gasp* Yes! Ladies and ... well... ladies, Jack Cole has been dethroned! Logan will make your toe curls, your body tingle, and your eyes roll back. And leave you begging for more.

And don't let his intense Dom persona fool you, there's a big softie in there as well. I love that! He is a man in love who will do anything, give up everything and even risk his life for the ONE woman he's always loved. And he shows it, he's not afraid to say how he feels and to make his woman know that she is cherished.

And speaking of that one woman, Tara, or as he calls her Cherry, is a great heroine. She got dumped by the love of her teenage life after she gave him her virginity and yet here she is facing him, and letting him train her for her first field assignment as an FBI agent.

And yes, I said train her. Tara ends up at Club Dominion with her partner to receive training so they can infiltrate an event where girls are being abducted from to be sold as sex slaves. This hits home for Tara when the last agent that had gone in (her best friend) gets abducted. And she is assigned to the toughest Dom in the club. The one that can train the wild ones.

Tara is a submissive by nature and even though she fights Logan at times, their chemistry is undeniable, and she can't fight it for long.

I have to admit I knew who the bad guy was as soon as that person first shows up in the book, but the storyline was still pretty suspenseful, I did not see the extent of the bad guys' involvement in the plot, and especially towards the end, it was action packed, with lots of unexpected twists and turns.

Belong To Me also opens up a world of new characters and possibilities for the series. We're introduced to Club Dominion, where Logan comes to play. All the testosterone flying around that place! I am especially intrigued to see what's Xander's story.

This book has truly brought back the series for me. This is truly Shayla Black at her best! If there's someone out there that can write a truly erotic book, that someone is Ms. Black. Nobody does it better!

And now, how long do I have to wait for Tyler's book? We have been waiting a long time, I've loved him since he first showed up in this series, and after Surrender To Me I've had an even softer spot for him. After reading the excerpt, I cannot wait! I can tell it'll be action packed from the beginning and will throw his world upside down. I am ready for the ride!

Shayla Black's, book Belong to Me!! Is a strong story of lost love and true love. Tara goes under cover as a submissive at a BDSM club, to find her FBI. agent and best friend who is missing after she went under cover.Logan is a blackhearted Dom. He is also the best at what he is ,and does. Tara meets Logan a the club when he choses to train Tara in what it takes to be submissive. Logan has alot of pain for has past, that keep him from having sex or loving anyone. Logan must go under cover after Tara partnetr goes missing. Tara, and Logan must lean to deal with the past that hurt them both very bad. Will they be able to find love again, or will the pain get them killed. Ture love can happen again if you wait long enough. Belong to Me is a powerful story of sex and love. A great book to read. you will feel good for Tara and Logan.!!! ENJOY !!!

Silly

Steamy scenes ruined by one dimensional, dull-normal characters with names like "Cherry". Plot was just plain silly. Can't believe I read the whole thing. Maybe I was hoping it would get better. I've sunk to an all-time low having read this.

romance, fighting and sexual action, great story line

This has far been one of the best series I've read. Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers series is really a great read. The characters flow into each others books as the main gentlemen find, protect, and love the women who comes into their lives and becomes the one for them. Enjoy reading.

Enjoyed it

An enjoyable read. I like stories with mild BDSM and this filled the bill.

Waste of time...

With no real effort to develop a feasible plot, this felt more like a poorly contrived Lifetime movie. From the beginning, each attempt at storyline was ill researched and hardly believable as a means of introducing yet another raunchy and bored sex scene. There was almost no attention paid to character development, making every new player in the story a way to stretch out a few more pages. I've read the other reviews, and am confused how such garbage could garner so much praise. Save your money and your time- when it comes to this book, don't bother!
