Joey hill is an awesome writer, her vampire series is great.
Beloved vampire is my favorite book.....so well written...l'm a huge fan of all joeys books. They are all hard to put down once u start reading.

This was the best book so far! Reading the 5th book now. Cant wait to see where the story leads to. Never really read any hard core like this but its with taste and heat. Love love the story line. You dont want to pass on these books.

My favorite

I have read all the books. THis one is my favorite. Also the vampire trinity was great. But you must read the series,they all relate to each other. THese are all great if you enjoy the first book you will love the series.

Joey Hill is a MASTER!

I stayed up all night to finish this one. My love affair with all things Joey Hill continues.

Some readers may be uncomfortable with the BDSM content. I recommend starting at the beginning of the series. I might have been too overwhelmed by this book's content to enjoy it had I not gained perspective from previous installments.

Certainly the sex is hot, the plot creative, the writing style enthralling, but I think I enjoy the small things just as much. The metaphors, sometimes tender, sometimes dark. The subdued sense of humor. The conviction behind each character's voice. The author's obvious commitment to take the path less traveled.

I can never predict where the plot or characters will go. That's fun. The bonus is that I always seem to accept the ending, even though it isn't wrapped up in a perfect bow.

This series is fabulous with this book being my favorite in the series! If you enjoy erotica then purchase. This book does contain some violence and details of past abuse so you've been warned.

OMG - that says it best

I got into books about Vampires and such recently and this book does not disappoint. After I found out it is the third in a series - yes I bought the first two in the series also. Can't wait to get started reading them.

Excellent addition to the series although no one comes close to the relationship of Elyssa and Jacob in the first two books!!!

It was slow at first and sometime repetitive. But all in all it was very good, sexy and charming.

I discovered this author only a few weeks ago and tore through her backlist in those weeks so I was so thrilled to see a new release in the mail today. I finished it in one day and will be adding it to my keeper shelf with her others! I enjoyed learning more about Mason who was a secondary character in the earlier vampire novels. Ms. Hill paired this 800 year old vampire with a worthy mate in Jessica a tortured former servant of a sadistic vampire. This novel is off the charts hot but the heat fits in the the plot and furthers it rather than just being added willy nilly. Highly recommended!

The latest Joey W. Hill vampire thriller (see A VAMPIRE'S CLAIM, THE VAMPIRE QUEEN'S SERVANT and THE MARK OF THE VAMPIRE QUEEN) is a terrific entry with a fascinating theme that a human servant who kills a master vampire for whatever reason (including rape) must be executed; the theory behind the premise is similar to the slave owners which to keep the masses from revolting and slaying their "owners". The story line is fast-paced from the onset as Jessica feels as arid as the Sahara that beckons her to add her dust to the sand. Vivid and filled with action as executioners are coming for the servant who killed her master, fans will relish Ms. Hill's super entry in an extraordinary saga.
