Overview

Bull rider Nick Jackson has spent his entire life not knowing who he really is. Abandoned as a toddler and raised in foster homes, Nick is afraid to put down roots, to make commitments, to love, because life has a way of ripping those things away from you when you least expect it.

Psychologist Jean Sutherland wants to help Nick discover his true identity and find his family, but not as a professional. Her interest in Nick is purely personal. She finds it difficult not to cross the line between her personal and professional lives, and nearly ruins them both in the process.

Sometimes it's better to leave the past alone…

Tori has done it again. Her characters are alive and so full of emotions you see the story through their eyes. Nick afraid of being unloved has a hard time trusting people. He's at a point in his life where he wants answers to the questions he's had all his life . Jean is attracted to the handsome cowboy but senses his pain. they search for the answers from his past and she finds herself falling fast. Add a rogue angry cowboy to the mix who has serious anger issues and is out to hurt Nick and has a secret if his own makes this an incredible romantic suspense that will keep you turning the pages. This book made me laugh and cry. Tori's research shows in her descriptive scenes of Texas and the surrounding areas. And the depth of emotions in Beneath a Texas Star will leave you feeling closer to these characters¿ add in the repeat characters from the series and a few new ones and you have an emotional and entertaining must read! Can't wait for the next book by this wonderful author.

As always Tori Scott delivers a fantastic story and leaves you wanting more!  Nick Jackson has always been very closed off about his family and childhood.  He has come to Morris Springs to help his friend get his rodeo school open.  Maybe Nick will start a new life of his own with the help of Jean.

Loved this book. Number 4 in Cowboy series. Loved Jean and Nick's story. The love story between them is wonderful. Nick's search for his family was bittersweet. Tori Scott writes a great story.

This was a very boring book. There no connection to the characters. It was almost like reading a news article. Didn't need to be 300 plus pages.
