Overview

Beneath a Vedic Sky is a practical guide on Vedic astrology, the science of behavior analysis and forecasting from the timeless traditions of the Veda. It shows you how to identify the trends of the future so that you can anticipate positive outcomes or protect yourself in the likelihood of nonpositive events.

This is not an academic book replete with complex formulas and mystical symbols, but a simple, straightforward and engaging introduction to a system of prediction that is over 4,000 years old. Beneath a Vedic Sky is aimed at the nonspecialist; it takes readers through the fundamentals of this rediscovered astrological system from ancient India. William Levacy has extracted all the must-know information and presents this system with a level of understanding every student of astrology must come to possess. The book is full of graphs, tables, illustrations, and analogies to describe the key principles of Vedic astrology. It is a first step book for the reader, who will then be able to properly, and successfully interpret a birth chart Vedic style and know how to get the most benefit from their studies to create key value for their futures.

    Great for beginners

I agree with Genghis. I thought the book was exceptional. It clearly stated the differences between the western and vedic and helped the beginner with detailed information. Depending on how well you absorb the first time reading, you may have to go back and re-read but I found this book very helpful and very enlightening.

Good, very easy and helpful for begginers.

I disagree with review above (the first one). You don't have to be familiar with Western astrology. This book was my first book in Astrolgy, I enjoyned it.

    A cautionary note ...

This is one time where it might be helpful to pay more attention to the back rather than to the front of the book. The front says that it is a 'beginner's guide.' The back, indicates quite correctly that it is a beginners guide for those *already* familiar with western astrology. This book may not be the best choice for the total novice.
