Meet the Author

Jane Breskin Zalben is the author and illustrator of Papa’s Latkes, Beni’s First Wedding, and Beni’s Family Cookbook for the Jewish Holidays, which was named an American Library Association Notable Book, “A Not Just for Children Anymore!” Children’s Book Council Selection, an American Bookseller “Pick of the Lists,” and a Bank Street College of Education Best Books Selection.

    Beautiful illustrations and lovely text

    I read these stories to my four year old daughter and she loves them. We're learning about the Jewish holidays together (since I am not Jewish, my husband is). They are simply and lovingly told.
