Meet the Author

Stan and Jan Berenstain were already successful cartoonists for magazines and adult humor books when they began writing children's books. The first story starring the bear family, The Big Honey Hunt, appeared in 1962. Since then, more than 360 Berenstain Bears books have been published, and more than 300 million copies have been sold. What began as an idea sparked by their young sons' love of reading has become one of the best-selling children's book series ever.

Great Berenstain book. My kids loved these books when they were little and now my grandkids are enjoying them too! Can't go wrong with one of these books. !!!

Since I am new to the nook I did not understand that if a book is a picture book but not a NookKidsBook the format will be kind of wonky. The book only works in portrait orientation and the wonderful pictures are small and chopped up.

Children's books like this should never cease to be written because they teach so much of good behavior and everyday etiquette. I visited an exibit of the Berenstain Bears' creators and was captivated by their humorous methods of persuading kids to do what's right.
