Overview

Women were looking for sex in the city because love and happiness seemed virtually extinct. At least, that was my opinion. Having been unlucky in love (a few times) I could understand the sentiment, but to be honest I wanted the trifecta: husband, career, and family. Sure, I may harbor some insecurities but I wasn't going to be counted out of the struggle

More About This Book

With my thirtieth birthday looming ahead the pressure was on, but it didn't mean I couldn't relax a little. An evening of downtime in a crowded club sounded perfect. But it was the last place I would ever dream of finding Mr. Right. How was I to know I would meet six feet-three inches of pure male sex appeal with eyes that made my panties melt?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, exhibitionism.

This book frustrated me. These two main characters are too old (in my opinion) to be scared to ask the other where things were going or to talk about what they wanted out of the relationship! You're doing everything else under the sun but too scared to say "Hey, where do you see this going because I'm looking for something serious." I'm sorry if I'm ruining the book for you but I just had to say it! I feel like a lot of time was wasted on non communication and misunderstandings and other stupid decisions BECAUSE of the non communication! This book had potential to be sooooo much better than what it was.

Lightning Doesn't Need To Strike Twice

I am disappointed in both the author and barnes&noble for wasting good electronic space. How dare you print the same book twice but under a different cover and synopsis preview write. Even though the book was very enjoyable the first time, it does not mean that I as a consumer want to be decieved into buying or reading it again under these circumstances. Some where along the way, the publisher and publicist dropped the ball. Now what should happen is that you(B&N) should ask for your pre-sale writing fee(retainer fee?) back from the author and demand an actual new novel be written in its place worthy of their penmanship caliber. Remember- quote/unquote " You can't fool ALL of the people, ALL of the time"!! Keep that in mind and GOOD LUCK!!!!

This book started out really well. Sam meets a great guy, who clearly likes her.  The story had soooo much potential and then it went downhill fast.  How a supposedly intelligent woman who wanted a baby badly could then forget her doctor's appointment and then catch an attitude with the baby's father was hard to believe. Simple communication would have solved their problems. When I an did something nice, she always seemed to take it as his trying to control her. Sam came across as way to judgemental particularly for someone who had been in a prior bad relationship.  You got the great man but you don't see why he might be pissed that you were dating someone else  and didn't say anything?? Since you both met the parents, it would be safe yo think you where in a relationship.  Sam's behavior really annoyed me and I felt bad for Ian. He deserved a grown woman, not a spoiled,  argumentative witch.

I read this book before, it's a shame how barnes and noble will let you purchase the same book twice. The first copy is still in my library. This is the second time this has happend to me. I just might start boycotting the site :) The book was good on the first read. I am going to give the book 1 star.
