I bought this books for my 11-year-old grandson, but found that I read it myself. I can remember reading these comics in the 50s, 60s and later. The first shock of the book is how much the image of Archie has changed over the years, while the girls have stayed nearly the same. The color reproduction of these comis is very good and the text comes though very crip, so it is easy to read. Presenting the comic in chronological order provides a good structure for the book. The short essays about each decade are interesting. The only that that prevents this book from getting 5 stars is the lack of a linked Table of Contents or other interactive device to allow the reader to find specific comics. Who every created this books did not understand ebooks and how they can be an improvement over print books.

Love this book. I don't care who you are- how young, how old, this book is for everyone. Exceptional. Glad I bought it. Starts at the beginning with the first Archie and progresses throughout the years.

This is a great book ! Growing up I read a lot of Archie comics, but never really knew how far they went back. Learning the history and seeing the different looks of the characters is not only interesting, but it's FUN too !!

As one who grew up with Archie, it's been a fun read and, with it in my nook, I'm watching my grandchildren enjoy these comics also.

Slightly disappointed that my Nook Color could not purchase this title, but I also have the Nook tablet and it works great on that!

Not enough of a sample to make a decision. I need to see how a comic book format translates to the Nook -- I don't like reading magazines on it.
