More About This Book

Overview

Sometimes you just have to come right out and ask the question.

After months of exploring his bisexuality on his own, college student Chase Randolph is ready for a night out on the town—all the way “out”. He never expected Alex Landry to witness his first experimental sexual encounter, though. Chase has been attracted to his best friend and roommate forever, but one thing is sure: Alex is straight. So straight, he’s never caught on to Chase’s mixed tastes.

Alex assures Chase they will always be friends, but privately, his own reaction shocks him. An ex-jock isn’t supposed to fantasize about his roommate. Not supposed to need another man’s kiss so badly it makes him sweat. He was prepared to change direction after his football career ended before it began, but change this drastically?

As Chase and Alex struggle to come to terms with the changes in their relationship, jealousy pushes friendship to the brink—of disaster…or love.

Warning: No heaving bosoms here, just two gorgeous guys, lots of muscles and some closet doors banging wide open.

    I loved this story!

    My Review:

I truly loved this book. I thought that it was seriously hot and sexy. This book featured one of my favorite tropes...friends to lovers, but with guys.

Alex and Chase have been friends forever and have been roommates all through college. Chase has been aware of his attraction to both guys and girls for a while, but has never acted upon his attraction to guys before. The problem is that he's secretly in love with Alex and Alex is purely heterosexual. So Chase starts going out to experiment. The problem arises when Alex walks in on Chase during one of his experiments...and unknown to Chase, Alex is turned on by what he saw. So not only is Alex dealing with the shock of finding out that his best friend is attracted to guys, but he's also dealing with the shock of the fact that turns him on. He's never been attracted to other guys before.

Like I said, I loved this book. I thought that it was really hot and I liked both of these guys. Alex was a college football player, but has just blown out his knee. Already, his world has been turned upside down. Throughout the book, he is in a lot of pain and walking with a cane. Alex is the big muscular jock, but Chase is the alpha in their relationship. I liked that. There was a lot of depth in their relationship, first because they are best friends and know how to read each other. Neither one wants to lose their friendship just for some experimenting, so there is a lot of doubt and worry throughout. I thought that it was really well done.

But a warning, some people have REALLY hated this book because of the way that the author phrased things, but I didn't have any issues. I thought that it was fabulous. Also, I knew when I read this book that this was a new release so I was shocked when I found out that this book is actually the prequel to the book, Coming Full Circle, a triad book that came out in 2009. That review is up on here too. I didn't like it quite as much as this one, but they are both good, entertaining reads. I just thought this one was much better for the development of the relationship between the characters.
