    A Great Book!!

    The book Betsy Ross: Designer of Our Flag is about Betsy Ross¿s life. It contains stories of her when she was a child. The book contains stories and facts about her family. For example in the story it says that Betsy Ross had 8 sisters and 9 brothers. One of her stories is the contest. The contest is who has the best needle work piece. A lot of people put in dresses and bonnets, but Betsy did something different. She made a sampler (a piece of work when first start to sew). It had stars, a sliver of the moon, and the liberty bell. When Betsy goes to put it in the contest she is too scared to see what the man might say. Even though everyone thinks Betsy is the best sewer they know she doesn¿t believe in herself. When it is the day of the contest she is more worried than ever. She doesn¿t think she will win. When her and her family is at the needlework booth waiting for the results they hear Betsy¿s name being called. When Betsy goes up to get her prize she looks down at the money. She tells the man that he gave her too much money. What really happens is that she won first place. She was so joyful. That is part of what the book is about. There are many many more stories in the book. I hope you read the book and enjoy!

    I like Betsy Ross because it is a book full of adventure and excitment.I think it was excillent.I didnt want to put the book down.It was a great book.
