Overview

The basic purpose of the book is to communicate a new understanding of human behavior, taking into account how both cognition and emotion happen at a neurological level. Nowadays, we can with neurological evidence explain how cognition and emotion works interactively. This means that whenever the brain is mentally operating, both cognition and emotion are working, and the external product of this internal activity is/may be an external behavior. In this sense, speaking, reading, learning, eating, depression, anxiety, and so on are all behaviors produced by a central neurological mechanisms we know relatively well since the 90s. The neurological evidence we count on is based on several methods of study, among them the latest functional magnetic resonance in humans, etc. In short, the book presents an explanation of normal function to be followed by an explanation of dysfunctional behavior. This explanation implies the description of a practical procedure to be put into practice.
