Meet the Author

MICHAEL KRUSE received his doctorate in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He returned to his native Southern California to complete residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center. He has worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist in the hospital setting for 15 years. During this time, his interests have included cardiology, critical care, drug information, information technology, and patient safety. He helped establish the first hospital residency program for Des Moines, Iowa and a second residency program in the San Diego, CA area. He has taught for several schools of pharmacy as volunteer clinical faculty and continues to mentor pharmacy residents. He has authored a handful of publications and speaks locally at conferences. A constant passion is patient safety in all settings.
