A Better Than Story
When Curt Townsend, a successful young DC lawyer, attends his first gay wedding, he doesnt expect anything more than a great evening out spent celebrating two lucky guys willing to commit to one another. He certainly doesnt anticipate meeting someone like Jack Farinelli. Fourteen years Curts senior, Jack owns two businesses: a gay bar and a motorcycle shop. Hes gorgeous and self-assured, but Curt is positive they have nothing in common.
Jack is comfortable in his own skin. Hes attracted to Curts quick wit and easy manner but most of all, to their unexpected mutual love of baseball. As they forge a friendship based on their shared enthusiasm for the sport, they begin a journey which reveals how their differences might be the catalyst behind a growing attraction. Both men have experienced their share of pain, but they realize they need to set aside the past and learn to trust in a future if they are to have one together.

This is such a funny and sweet story. Jack and Curtis are a lovely couple; they become best friends who fall in love. This is a great series and for me this was the sweetest story. Iy was also HOT!!!
I have waited in pins and needles for this book to be released and Lane made Curt and Jack's story well worth the wait!! Curt is Matts old roommate and best friend from college. Curt sees the gorgeous older Jack at Peter and Jay's wedding. They share a heated kiss (kisses really), and then go on about their lives. Curt is a young DC Lawyer and Jack is a bad boy biker that owns a club and a bike repair shop. They seem like total opposites, but the forge a friendship over their mutual love of baseball. Over the coming months they watch sports, and have some heavy make out sessions and eventually some smokin hot sex, but can Curt let go of his feelings of inadequacies and all his insecurities and actually let himself believe that he is good enough and in the same league as Jack? I loved this book, and I definitely loved that we got to see so much of Matt and Aaron(my favorite couple of the series). Curt and Jack had a really good connection and chemistry. They had so much in common, but were different enough to keep the relationship interesting. This story was mostly funny, sweet, and HOTT!! There wasn't much angst really. I loved this series, and my one complaint... It's over :( I look forward to more from Lane in the future!!
