A homemade country loaf, freshly baked carrot-walnut coffee cake, and savory parmesan-chive scones don’t require hours and experience in this Betty Crocker title, complete with 200 recipes. Home bakers can rejoice in no-knead breads, like the artisan bread, and quick, family-friendly desserts, including banana-toffee mini-cakes. Purists may scoff at the inclusion of Bisquick and canned apple pie filling in ingredient lists, as well as the use of bread machines, but this collection makes it possible for busy bakers to whip up selections, even on a weeknight, that include caramelized-onion focaccia, dinner rolls, and blackberry coffee cake. “Bake Smart” highlighted boxes offer tips on everything from freezing to fruit selection to zesting. All recipes include calorie-counts and nutritional information. A selection of gluten-free recipes includes glazed lemon-pecan bread, banana-chocolate chip muffins, and pizza crust. A solid and practical guide with 100 color photos. (Nov.)

Format of e books is not forcooking and kitchen imagine having to swipe while kneading pictures are half most cook books now unless very serious . this is where paper wins everytime. Could serve for a reference where lugging books not practical such as in waiting rooms. Good bread book but a all purpose classic will do as well this is to sell their flour i get very nice hard wheat bread flour at our local bulk organic market

I thoroughly enjoyed looking through this cookbook when i received it. All the recipes look wonderful, and I can't wait to try them. I have trouble with yeast breads and this gave enough tips and step-by-step directions that i was able to follow them easily and for it to turn out right( currently working on my 1st one but so far so good). It also gives calorie information at the bottom which is good cause my husband is on a diet... My only complaint is that i wish all the recipes had pictures, especially the more difficult ones.

This is a great book. My family loved the French bread ( I've made it 3 times). There many different types of recipes and they are easy to follow. I have also made the dinner rolls and several of the muffins. Again this is a good book. Highly recommended.
