This is a great cookbook because it makes just enough for two people (or for one person to eat two days in a row). The recipes are fun and use a wide variety of fresh, out-of-the-ordinary foods.

I was disappointed by this book because of the recipes. I personally did not like that some of the recipes called for unusual ingredients (unusual to some pantries as well as to a certain dishes). I also disliked that too many recipes called for ranch dressing or mayonnaise. And the thing that seemed utterly idiotic to me was when they would say they had an easy dessert-for-two (which would go something like: use two cupcakes and do something with them...) First of all where do you buy just two cupcakes? Secondly even I could have come up with a lame recipe like that. As an end note, I didn't like how the recipes were written, expecting you to have your 'mise en place' (on the left side of the page it would list all the ingredients and how they should come prepared already - on the right side of the page it would only say how to assemble the final dish, usually in two to three steps).
