Summary: When Daphne Forbes unintentionally acquires a combination of puca and druid powers, she also acquires a keeper to help her learn to control them -- or eliminate her. Tremayne is a nature spirit who has been in charge of these puca powers for 2,000 years. For him, helping Daphne may be the key to being completely free, perhaps at the cost of her sanity. As Daphne and Tremayne share his home, they soon discover that he's evolving into a feeling, compassionate being, one who is unwilling to chance losing Daphne for his personal gain. But once she discovers what he truly is and that she loves him, she refuses to let anyone stand in the way of helping him, with some dire results.
