Between Heartbreak and Happinessby Sarka-Jonae Miller
Jan gets to know her grandfather Brady while experiencing
Jan Weston is heading to the land Down Under to meet her long-lost grandfather, leaving the man she thinks is the love of her life back in Los Angeles. Instead of a pretentious gentleman with a didgeridoo up his bum, Jan is greeted by a Hawaiian shirt wearing surfie to whom she couldn't possibly be related.
Jan gets to know her grandfather Brady while experiencing everything Sydney has to offer, from hanging out at Bodhi Beach to visiting local spas (if she happens to find ideas to steal for a future business, even better). The final pieces of her family's puzzling past are revealed and for the first time, Jan feels connected to a blood relation, but her need to return to Pan is a constant pull.
When the lovebirds are reunited, they realize neither have a solution for what to do when Pan's job ends and he must fly home to Thailand. If she could make her spa a reality, maybe there'd be a place for him there, and with her, forever? But Jan's life is never easy. As she questions her lover's commitment, her ability to run a business, and her sanity, Jan realizes that all the things she never considered might be exactly what she needs. BETWEEN HEARTBREAK AND HAPPINESS is an inspirational story of love, family, taking risks, and following your heart.

This is the third book in the series by one of my favorite authors Sarka-Jonae Miller. She once again surpassed my expectations. I read the first two books and I was eagerly waiting to find out what was going to happen between Jan and Pan.Again the author provides the excitement of visiting another part of the world while Jan is going to visit her grandfather in the land Down under. The author cleverly intertwines the lives of all the characters in a way that keeps the reader glued to the pages. The meeting between Jan and her grandfather was quite entertaining and heartwarming. I wanted to read the book in one sitting, but unfortunately the Memorial weekend demanded my family's attention. I did keep the IPad next to me and kept reading every chance I had. The plot was exciting, and the romance way better than the first two books. It was hard to put the book away for another day. The author did a fantastic job in making sure that the plot was stimulating and that the reader remained eager to turn the next page. I was extremely happy to find out that Pan and Jan faced every difficulty that was dealt to them and found the path to happiness. This is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to all my friends. If you want a sweet, and exciting novel to pass the time this is the perfect book for you. I loved it!!! Good job Sarka-jonae Mille
I read the first two in this series and can say that the third one is my favorite. It wrapped up the series nicely and was a joy to read. It would be fun for people who haven't read the first two books as well. Jan's a great character at all stages of her development!
