Tori Scott just keeps getting better! Blake has been on the rodeo circuit for 10 years, becoming best friends with Cooper Saunders and Nick Jackson. Cooper and Nick have left the circuit and settled down in Morris Springs, Texas. Mandy works for Cooper and his wife Nancy and as with most of their employees is treated as part of the family. Mandy and Blake have a strong attraction to each other, but is it enough? Blake is torn, he loves the excitement of the rodeo and the travel, but something is missing. Can he stay in one place for any length of time or will he cut and run?Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

First I have to say I loved it, loved it, loved it. I think it will be one of my favorites of the series.
Tori Scott has an amazing ability to bring the reader into the moment that makes her books on level with any of the top authors. While her books are romance, she brings real life to them. This one did not have the suspense element of the others, but there was enough edge that I did not miss the mystery. I want everyone I know to share in the friendships I have made in the books. Thank goodness for rereading or I would miss them all terribly.
Between Lonesome and Texas is the story of Mandy and Blake. In addition to the growing romance between those two, we meet their families and discover that Mandy has a secret that she is afraid to share with her Blake or her friends on the ranch. One of my favorite parts of the book is when Blake makes a hard decision that he is afraid that Mandy and his buddies will not be able to respect; it shows the kind of man he really is. All of our friends are back with lots of news and their lives are full.
I am sad to discover that we are near the end of the series but thrilled that she is wrapping it up with a Christmas novella that she is working on right now. I cant wait for the Christmas novella and look forward to whatever comes next.
