This is the first book I've read by Zoe York and she is great.  This story is about Ian and Carrie who met had a couple of dates then their world was turned upside down when she got pregnant.  The both did the right thing getting married and settling down.  There are times in this book when you see Carrie wonder if her and Ian are on the same page. Ian knows what Carrie is thinking and afraid of more than Carrie does.  All Ian wants is to be the best husband and father for her and the kids.  If only Carrie would realize this.  When Carrie takes money out of their account and finds something is wrong she freaks out and wonders what Ian is doing and with whom.  What she doesn't see is that Ian is doing something for her. I loved this story.  It was a great introduction to Wardham novels.  I enjoyed reading the ups and downs between Carrie and Ian and their friends and family!  Can't wait to read other books by Zoe York.  She reminds me in some ways of Jill Shalvis with her story telling.  If you haven't read her books check them out!!

A quick read with a good story. A one night stand turns into eight years of marriage with two kids. This is how they reconnected. This is story that so many people need to take hold and grab.It will not disappoint you. I am putting Zoe York on my must read list.

A wonderful story of two people reconnecting and saving their marriage. Tough times have made the couple really talk and discover untold truths.  Highly recommended.

A peek into marriage, it definitely rings true. Between kids and work, it's hard to work in time for the relationship. This book sums it all up, and totally embraces the best parts of being with the same person, the one who is your other half. Hot!

Sweet very short story with a lot of heart.. It will help any couple in love to reconnect after kids are born into a marriage.

I'm impressed with what the author was able to accomplish in so few pages. She was able to construct such realistic, sympathetic characters in a situation that most couples can relate too - lack of time and communication breeding misunderstanding and hurt feelings. It inspired me to work harder on the communication in my own relationship. That's good writing!

I discovered the author through an ARC of another of her stories from NetGalley. 4 months later and I have purchased all of her books. This is a wonderful story and I think gives a true glimpse in a romance book of what real life is: kids, mom and dad trying to juggle life and jobs and dreams all at one time. I am never disappointed in any of Zoe's stories.

A 50 page free short story of a man worried about the tension between him and the love of his life - his wife. Adult language and steamy hot husband and wife sex. A great very well-written story.

I totally enjoyed the book. There were times it was rushed but overall I would love to read more of Brady and Sophie.

A thoroughly enjoyable short and sweet romance. Ian and Carrie Nixon try to re-ignite their old passions and find love again. Married for 8 years with two kids, they have lost the romance in their life. Communication was never their strong suit and now what heat held them together in the bedroom is also fizzling out. It is a worrisome situation for both Ian and Carrie. In between the kids and work, both of them are in a bind and unable to talk out their problems with each other. In the 8 years they have been married they have never expressed their love enough. This makes Carrie insecure along with the fact that Ian has a secret. Go along for a ride with Ian and Carrie as they revisit their "THEN" and talk out their problems and reassure each other of their love and wish them happiness for their "NOW" as they finally find the old love back.  I really enjoyed the book and will look forward to reading the next installment in the series. Though the ending felt abrupt. Ms. York should have put in more sentences towards the end and I wish the book was a teeny bit more lengthy.  An absolute delight to read.

Another great book from Zoe York! This story was so real. Its depiction of life and how even our smallest choices determine the course of our lives, as well as the way that life can get in the way of the things we hold most dear, was dead-on. I loved the characters and have become a big fan of the Wardham gang. Zoe definitely writes for those over 18, but assuming you're okay with that, I highly recommend this one.

I liked the characters. They were well developed. IMHO the book was the right length far a prequel novella. The use of profane languagewas unnecessary. Thatswhy I gave it four stars.

Communication is necessary in all marriages otherwise doubt arises as in carrie's case.

It was a nice short read about a young married couple. They started off their marriage a little rough but passion eventually developed.
