Meet the Author

Caroline Hanson grew up in California and moved to London in order to dance and go to pubs. Eventually, she matured enough to marry and imported an Englishman, returning to the United States.

After passing the bar, she had two children and now tries to parent, read, write and play tennis. She's heard rumors that other mothers clean and cook but is putting in serious effort to make sure those rumors don't reach her family.

Caroline grew up listening to Brit pop and reading about vampires. As a teenager her favorite authors were Anne Rice and Jude Deveraux. Now she loves Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, Laura Kinsale, Lisa Kleypas, Loretta Chase, Nalini Singh and JR Ward-- that's the short list.

She is also the proud owner of a WWJD t-shirt, (What Would Joss do?) which she hopes is apparent in her books.

She loves to hear from fans and her second book in the Valerie Dearborn Series, Love is Fear, will be published in December 2011.

A free short story called Bewitching the Werewolf was released in September.

    Enjoyed

Enjoyed this but read so quickly I was left looking for the rest! More like a condensed version, so much packed in with little or no background on the characters

Not a book, a short story

I know it was free, but I did not expect 2 chapter - the end!

    Ooohhh kkkkkk.....

The story idea isn't a new one and other than a energetic sex scene there wasn't anything to explain why the relationship was good or bad. No building of characters for the reader, etc... What this reminds me of is bits of scenes in an outline. But an outline, a story doesn't make. Just an aside to the writer... next time let us know who the characters are, too. The make the short story a little longer. You could have put the next 25 pages that are lead in's to other stories at the back of the book into this one and it could have been good. Sorry, not one of my favorites.

    Too Short

Enjoyable read but too short. It's really sad that you have such good books with lousy ending.

    Bewitching The Werewolf

This is not really a book, it's more like a 60 page rollercoaster that breaks in the middle and dumps you on your face. It would have been better if the author had put a little more thought into developing it and brought the reader along gradually. A good journey consists of many adventures. This story was a rough draft that might have expanded itself into a great novel. Too bad the author had to take short cuts.
