Bewitchment: You Foolish Galatians

Overview

The International Church of Christ (ICoC) and the church of Christ both refuse to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit by way of a crucified life. This book unmasks this problem and points to the solution.

This is not the usual "cult scare" book that whines about the supposed faults of another group. If you are looking for a book that only points a finger at others, this one is not for you. Indeed, those who read "Bewitchment" will discover ...

Indeed, those who read "Bewitchment" will discover more things in their own lives that they must allow Christ to crucify.

God put Timothy and Carla Williams in such a place and time where they could watch the faulty foundations of ICoC being laid. This book not only speaks of that history (before 1979), but the reasons this group started out wrong and the part that the mainstream church of Christ played.

"By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds." (1 Corinthians 3:10)

Author Biography: Timothy Williams is the pastor of a non-denominational church in Washington state. He is a conference speaker and has authored six books. Carla Williams is speaker and published author, focusing mainly on parenting and children's issues. Together they have raised three children of their own and over 27 foster children.

    The Truth Exposed

I read the book, Bewitchment. This book is excellent for people both in the Church of Christ and the ICC who are hurting and tired of hearing the word preached, but never seeing it lived out by the power of the Holy Spirit. I was raised in the Church of Christ and I went to two major Church of Christ Universities and found only dry religion. I also followed the ICC for some time and found only an imitation of the life led by the Holy Spirit. This book offers the way to a rich and full life in Jesus Christ for those who are tired of dry religion. The best part of this book for me was the love, caring, and concern with which it was written for people like me, who desire to know a living Lord Jesus and like me will be grateful to discover that the Holy Spirit is alive today and works in miraculous ways in our lives when we surrender our opioions about religion. A big thank you to the authors for the research and love put into this noteworthy book!

    The Misconception

I read The Book and listened to the CD.Of the Bewitchment.I am Impressed,Impressed of the ignorance, and and misconception, and the angry, and hostile note's in a voice on a C.D. I Live in Memphis Tn.and I have had a hard time finding a Church that is Biblical. And that includes the Holy Spirit,You have botched up the Christ of Christ so bad,The Icoc was (not) founded by the Christ of Christ!Nor was it founded by Campbell or Barton W Stone! If you really studied you would find out the Church at Ephesus was a working Church thru out the Dark ages. There is so much more I could say.I am a Christian Woman and I will Pray for you in Christian Love,I Pray God will remove the veil from your eye's. I would never attack any religion the way you did. Martha Benafield

    No Misconception

This book is written by two people who were involved with the church of Christ for many years and who were around at the time the ICoC started and knew some of the main people involved. This gives them a unique perspective from which to write this book. Far from presenting misconceptions or traditional propoganda, this book tells it like it really is. Not only that, but it is far from a bitter finger-pointing exercise. The authors take a great deal of time to spell out the truth from Scripture and show how the problems in the church of Christ and the ICoC can be solved. In fact, I would highly recommend this book to anyone - even if they have no involvement with the coC or the ICoC, for it contains a great deal that should challenge any Christian who is genuinely seeking to know and live out the Word of God.
