The story follows the life of a detective who life in the latter years of the London Metropolitan Police went into meltdown. One particular case got to him and remained unsolved only to be closed and withdraw with alarming pace. The case involved murders in London and involved a man named Jacob Johnson who had powers that go beyond the comprehension of mortal humans into the realm of the afterlife. In ‘Beyond A World We Know’ we pick up Dan’s life after he has left the ‘MET’. He’s at a crossroads still full of unresolved feelings of a failed case but he’s about to be recruited by a secret agency that will open new possibilities of how Jacob Johnson could move between worlds and get away with the crimes he committed.
