    Average Trashy Sci-fi

Don't read this expecting the next Heinlein, even though it roughly apes "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Heinlein". Rather, expect a simplistically written, poorly edited, sci-fi romp made for the lightest of the light reading. The ideas are trite (NWO, really?), characters are flat and stereotypical, yet it still offers up some fun action and space adventure.

Overall can't complain about free, and I sense the author is a novice, so I gave it an extra star.

    Good so far.

As I am only getting started on reading this book I cannot speak for the whole book yet. But from what I have read already, this is an excellent storyline. The only problem I have with this book so far is the different font sizes throughout each chapter. I dont know how it happened but I wish that the author would have selected one font size and stuck with it, as I am getting distracted by the changing text size. Other than that, it is a great story so far!

IF there had been some editing beyond 3rd grade level this would have been a good story! Words have meanings, misspell the word and you change the meaning. Furthermore, know the meaning of a word before using it! This tale was difficult to enjoy because of these errors that would have been so easy to correct. Better luck next time.

    Good read

I just finished this space thriller. It draws from amerivan indian ideals, dedication and honor. The tale was good and the action constant. It leaves lots llof opportunity for a sequel.

    I tried...

I tried to get past the grammatical & technical errors, but succumbed in the end... As someone else observed, the errors were too numerous to overlook, to the detriment of the story.

The story itself is excellent. You can truly get yourself lost in it. Seemed to be well thought out except for one spot that just seemed to be gratuitous religion. I don't mind religion in a story but it was done in a way that just didn't fit. It was like a commercial in the middle of the story using the characters from the story. The editing was problematic, though. Drove me nuts on occasion. Not sure exactly how one can edit that bad but we have proof of the capability here.

Discounting those two areas of contention the story itself was quite an enjoyable thing.

First thing I would like to say is that I have worked as an edit

First thing I would like to say is that I have worked as an editor and technical editor for various publications and corporations for many years now. Although somewhat fluent in the Chicago Style, I do tend to rely on my Franklin Covey Style Guide when memory tends to fail me or there is an unfamiliar point of grammar with contention. I wanted to make this absolutely clear before I said anything else.

This novel is really quite good. It is fast-moving, suspenseful and has very believable characters. There are times when you simply cannot put it down. I would rate it an equal to an Ian Douglas or a David Weber novel easily, regardless that there is some truth to included editing errors. (I am assuming this book had hurried changes made and was rushed through overlooking the final editing phase, which does occasionally happen unfortunately.) But there is nothing that I can see that really detracts from the story or denies the reader any pleasure. The author has a great deal of talent and I am hope he continues with his endeavors…along with a sequel.

And due to the nasty tone of one particular reviewer (I don't believe this book deserves that), I am giving it a charitable 5 stars rating.

Already I am in a sr Racing reactive towards destruct

In this book. Many are the strangeness of malaprop and the turning of phrase. You will. And too one will find the hurting of the head as if written using google translate. From the original serbo croatian. Many will be the desperate plasma beam and originated wordings. Some will say. But most will avoid.

Good story ruined by lack of proofreading

Had the makings of a good story but there was obviously no proofreading or editing. I'm still trying to figure out what a furloughed brow loojs like and that's just one misused word. The constant shift in font size didn't help any nor did the heavy use of caps to convey excitement and emphasis.

    Poor

Thr story could have been enjoyable but the lack of editing, constant changrs in font style and size, all the characters shouting all the time, an obvious lack of military knowledge, and non-stop use of exclamation points ruined any chance this story had!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pretty good book, nice thriller

This is a pretty good book, some grammar errors, but overall, a good read. I'd love to see more background info on this. As for the scathing reveiws on here, this book doesn't deserve that! Some grammar errors, but still quite readable and formatted decently. I hope the author continues to write, and keep up the good work!

    A very good read!

This book is like openning Pandoras box. The author gives some good insight as to how a soul can become tainted over time by evil. I love how the there were Native American ideals placed within the story. I hope the author continues the storyline.
