I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment. I am deeply disappointed that I have finished reading this remarkable book. The Alberici sisters have written a compelling book that not only chronicles the golden years of entertainment, but they also delve into their upbringing in a strict Italian family with nine children. It is a story of love, discipline, faith, and commitment. From their Father's insistence that they eat only healthy foods and the related stigma, to unannounced family visits by the entire family, packed into the family van, to check on the welfare of the sisters while on the road with the Golddiggers. This book paints a vivid picture of the sacrifice, commitment, grueling schedule, professionalism and the excitement of a career working along side the legends of the entertainment business. Maria Lauren and Linda use a novel approach by utilizing excerpts from many of the luminaries of show business. Their stories of performing with the likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Donald O' Connor, Robert Goulet, Red Skelton, and so many more are so well written that you feel as though you are on stage with them. I feel this book is an important read for those who experienced this amazing time in show business as well as for those who did not, but would like to understand what made this era special. The sisters did a very good job of exploring the personalities of many of the stars, revealing their talents and in some cases their demons, while never losing the immense respect they had for each of the performers, directors, producers, stage hands, and everyone who played a role in ensuring the show always went on. It also reveals how the sisters and their fellow Golddiggers lived in the fast lane of the business while never compromising their strong values and faith. Simply put, it is a well written and informative book. Like with Grisham or Baldacci, I cannot wait until a sequel to this wonderful book is available.

This is a must read tell it all book!

Well I thought I new a lot about the famous Rat Pack, but I learned a whole lot more reading this book. These two beautiful women have brought to life the glorious days of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and many other super stars they performed with while in the Golddiggers. After reading the beginning of the book and learning about their family life I would never have believed these two innocent young ladies would ever be allowed to audition to become members of one of the hottest female acts ever, let alone go on to be selected and virtually tour the world when they hardly left the confines of their Philadelphia home. This book is exciting, well written, an easy read and filled with beautiful pictures of all the women who graced the stage with the Alberici Sisters. I couldn't put it down and now it sits on my family room table with its gorgeous front cover for my friends to see. Thanks ladies for your talent and willingness to bring this life altering experience to a waiting audience.

Highly Recommended- you must read...check it out!

Beyond Our Wildest Dreams put a smile on my face from beginning to end, filled with beautiful pictures and amazing stories. Some so outrageous, I can see why the Alberici Sisters had their stories corroborated by so many other show business notables. Hearing different perspectives about the stars during this great era in show business is done in a down to earth way, like a conversation, making Maria Lauren and Linda Eichberg very likeable. The larger than life icons they performed with became very endearing to me. I also enjoyed the back story of the sisters growing up in a family of eleven. The road stories were very funny. These Sister's, Maria and Linda were so inspiring! Follow your Dreams....Dreams Do Come True! I couldn't put this book down it was so interesting. A Great read! Highly recommended!
