Everybody needs to wake up and smell the coffee. This book is fiction, and the result of the author's creative imagination. It is not based on the real life of Jerome (Curly) Howard. Everybody straight on this one now?!?

If this was written by a teacher, then I'm embarrassed for our profession. There are multiple errors in this book of repeating sentences, or words out of place. Whether this is author's or proofreaders, fault I don't know, but it is bad. True, Curly did have his first Marriage annulled, but he was 18, not 49 as this story would have you believe. Long before he was famous. If he was affiliated with any mobster family it would have been the Russian Mob, not the Italians. This has to be a work of Fiction, because it ignores many things known about Curly Howard such as his love for dogs. If it is true, then it was one of Curly's doubles she met, and there were several over the years, who doubled for him. I know a couple of people that look like Curly and use the Nickname Curly. It doesn't make them part of the family. Lastly the Howard's were Jewish, not Catholic.

Okay, I became a 3 Stooges Fan at the age of 31, now I am 56. I never watched their shorts as a child but my children did. So, I set about learning all I could about them. I knew and know many of the actual Howard and Fine family members. This book is not only impossible but outright disgusting. I am not going to honor it with a review. There is no question it is a 100% utter fabrication. I have met Jerome (Curly) Howard's daughters, not just once but many times. This book is an absolute insult to their family. How I missed it, since it was printed 12 years ago is a mystery to me as I have read just about every other book written by the Howards and other authors. This author should be ashamed of herself. For those of you that think Curly does not look like Moe, you need glasses! I am sorry the family has had to endure this garbage. The worst part is that there are now real idiots out there that believe it. Curly did not even have a checking account. So what is her next book going to be about? I shudder to think. I have never felt so disgusted.

I read this book and was amazed at how you think you know a celebrity by the way they act, what a contrast to this mans life from his acting. I don't find him so funny, but rather hideous. I know his daughter, Jackie, and I have seen the photo of him holding her as a baby, she has shared some of her evidence with me and I wish I could help her to find a lawyer willing to help her prove her legitamacy. If anyone does not believe her they should challenge her claims and see the truth. Jackie is a very honest and sincere woman and would not make this up.

What an excellent story.I always knew there were more facts than we were being told!!!Not only does this book dispell the lies, but it was backed up by the history channel in its covering the story 'Who killed Kennedy'I had just finished the book when I caught an episode of the story on history channel. I was shaken at the similarities. All the same names and facts I had just read!!!I will continue to watch the rest in the series see how much more is uncovered.I hope Jackie finally gets the acknowledgement, and repayment she so richly deserves. This would make an excellent movie, and I look forward to seeing it as a box office smash.

Curly was a Stooge alright, a stooge for Hoover! I was astounded at the information uncovered in this book. I feel there is more to the story. I hope Grace Garland will tell the rest of the story someday.

This book is very enlighting. I couldn't put it down for a minute. He was a public figure with so many private issues. I hope that people will read this and think about what the government is capable of. I wish things could have ended up differently for her. I had to go and rewatch the Godfather and I also seen it in a different light.

i have read the godfather, but since reading this book i re-read it! i could see all the characters in a different way from the first time! i think beyond the laughter would set alot of governmental questions straight if they would delve into it a little. maybe we could finally put the speculation to bed. also, i liked the way the author brought in how our government passes the buck. this book shows how even present day political figures are involved in the past and the cover-ups. i can't wait to hear some of their comments about what has been going on!

I haven't read a book I couldn't put down since elementary school! This one was the exception. I had watched the Three Stooges all my life and even now sometimes in flipping channels I'll run across one of their old shows and catch myself watching. Now, however I look at Curly in a much different light. It was amazing how he so cleverly disguised himself to Hollywood! I am glad I read this book! Thanks

This book will keep you wanting more. You will not want to put it down. It will keep you in suspence about what is going to happen. How did they keep this from the public and how fascinating. Curly's tv persona was far different his real life. Thank you Grace Garland for such a wonderful book.

At last a book for the people that were coming of age in the fifties! A book that sets the record straight and lets the world know that even the celebrities didn't have an Ozzie & Harriet existance. This book shatters the optimistic image that America had of itself in the sixties.

WOW!Couldn't put this one down. I wonder why nothing has come of this in the media? Why haven't the Stooge families done something about this? Could it be true? I think it is too wild not to be. Who could fabricate this? This is a must read.

I have really been hoping to see the daughter and/or the author on the talk show circuit. I can't imagine that they haven't picked up on this one! The interesting thing is that this book covers a huge amount time and even the Clintons are mentioned! It's like Curly's hand is reaching from his grave (wherever that is!) to tell this story! Where is the daughter and when is another story going to be told or this one updated? Also, I read all the Godfather books and the only one that feels real is Curly's!

I read this book because someone told me it trashed Curly and I was mad! However, after reading it I realized a great many questions that lurked in the back of my mind was answered. He doesn't look like the other two he is supposed to be a brother to. His annulled marriage is never really delved into in any other books. I hate to admit that I agree this could be true. I can't really imagine anyone making this up. I mean, if you were going to fictionalize your life wouldn't you choose someone other than a stooge? I love the stooges and Curly is my favorite, but let's face it...he was human. Thanks Grace for answering a few questions. I look forward to the sequel and learning more about Jackie. How is she by the way?

I saw that the author was signing this book and giving a talk at Barnes & Noble in my hometown and decided to go. I was convinced to read the book and was glad I did! It really answered alot of questions for me! It was well worth the time and money! I hope Ms. Garland will write a sequel or a movie about this. The public has a right to know. I hope Curly's daughter gets her just rewards. She deserves to be known as his legitmate daughter.

I watched the Men Who Killed Kennedy on television just after reading this book, it was amazing how parallel they were. Curly was not what I thought and I was glad to finally learn the truth. I never believed he was kin to the other stooges, he was too Irish looking!
