Overview

Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and William Joseph have many things in common: They are young, they are not your typical music artists, and they are shepherded in their careers by illustrious producer David Foster. Groban and Bublé have become major stars; Joseph is on his way. With his second major-label album, Beyond, the inventive, impassioned pianist and songwriter reaches beyond the boundaries of the contemporary instrumental genre to touch a new generation. Album highlights: New age superstar guitarist Jesse Cook guests on "Asturias." Violinist Lucia Micarelli solos on Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir." Foster, who also co-wrote a number of songs with Joseph, plays on that track as well as several others, including Ennio Morricone's title song to film favorite Cinema Paradiso. -- From the Label

I first saw William Joseph on the Dr. Phil show and loved the pieces he played. I never heard of him before. Immediately I went to Barnes and Noble "online" and bought both of his CDs. This is the first time I've played one artists material continuously for weeks on my car CD player, usually I get bored and change the CD out after a few days. I also enjoy every piece on the CDs. The faster tunes do affect my driving, but overall it is all very soothing.

I was visiting one of the local BN stores when 'standing the storm' came on. I immediately went to the music section to ask what was playing. I've never heard of William Joseph before, but when I heard 'standing the storm' I had to get the album. Some of the pieces reminded me of Josh Groban's music. Then again David Foster has produced for both of them. This album even features cinema paradiso. It's hard to pick my favorite song out of the entire album since they are all equally amazing.

Heard this young man when watching "Hitman" DVD. Wow oh wow, great command of the piano. Found the CD "Beyond" shortly afterwards. It's a CD one can get lost in, experience the intense movements and yet appreciate the soothing melody in a couple of the lesser intense pieces played. Great listening pleasure time and time again.

We had never heard of William Joseph but went to see Il Divo in Canada a couple of years ago where he was the opening act and were blown away! As a bonus, he played with Il Divo and it was marvelous! We immediately bought his CD at the concert and have been waiting for 2 years for this new album. We are not disappointed! This is awesome, as is his first CD. If you like Yanni, John Tesh and contempory classical music, you will love this.
