Meet the Author

Jeff Pearce has worked as a writer of everything from humorous short stories plugging Cialis to an investigative work on criminal gangs. He's been a farm reporter without ever visiting a farm and written an article on trucking brakes without knowing how to drive. He sold his first professional news story at 19 about a deranged murderer -- which promptly got on the front page of a major newspaper. He's worked in journalism right on London's Fleet Street (which isn't such a big deal, since all the famous newspapers left about 40 years ago) to Yangon, Myanmar, one of the most beautiful, amazing places on Earth. He's also lived in a succession of peculiar apartments. One resembled a train compartment while another had Botticelli's Venus right outside his window. He's okay with his life being surreal.

He loves House, Lie to Me, Justice League cartoons, good coffee, his daughter, his friends, the British Museum, Sainsbury Indian takeaways, the works of Harlan Ellison and Gore Vidal, really enthralling history books, Paris cobblestones, and a nicely made gin and tonic, though not all necessarily in that order.
