Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. * James 1:19-20

Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosoms of fools. * Ecclesiastes 7:9

He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly. * Proverbs 14:17

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. * Proverbs 16:32

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. * Matthew 5:22

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. * Ephesians 4:31-32

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. * Romans 12:19-21

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee. * Proverbs 25:21-22

Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? * Proverbs 27:4

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. * Colossians 3:8

Belief

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. * John 3:16

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. * Acts 10:43

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. * John 1:12

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. * John 3:18

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. * John 3:36

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. * 1 Peter 2:6

The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. * Psalm 41:1-2

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. * Proverbs 19:17

But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. * Luke 14:13-14

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. * Luke 12:33

He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. * Proverbs 14:21

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. * Luke 6:38

He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. * Proverbs 28:27

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. * 2 Corinthians 9:7

There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. * Proverbs 11:24-25

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. * Psalm 37:25

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate. * 1 Timothy 6:17-18

Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. * Ecclesiastes 11:1

And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day. * Isaiah 58:10

It is not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward. * Isaiah 58:7-8

And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. * Deuteronomy 14:29

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. * Mark 10:21

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. * Psalm 37:26

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. * Matthew 6:1-4

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. * Matthew 25:34-40

    Awesome book containing eternal promises!

God's promises endure for all eternity and since He has never lied, this book helped to open my eyes to the treasures and the faithfulness that the Almighty One offers to me. Best of all, these promises are not just for me, they are for you too! Wow! Go for it!

    When I Needed Help

Comfort when I needed it. Guidance when I needed it. Reassurance when I needed it. This little book has pulled me through the darkest year of my life and has helped me to understand and get to know God in a personal way I didn't know before. I am rating it 'outstanding' and am purchasing copies for several of my friends.
