Meet the Author

Oak Blackheart is a retired teacher who wrote stories for his fourth grade students. Oak Blackheart wrote Pedaling Through the Past, articles about bicyclists rediscovering ghost town in Pottawatomie County, OK for the Shawnee News Star. Oak is a mountain bike rider and lives in Oklahoma and New Mexico. Blackheart grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired from the U.S. Army. He continues to share stories with his granddaughter.

    Glad They're Not Stealing Bikes

    Title makes sense after reading the first few pages. Sheriff Latimer has got be feeling bad about being upstaged. If you know SE Oklahoma, enjoy small town mysteries or like being 13 again. Read this book.
