This is an excellent book which introduces a complete program for training and competition cycling for self motivated individuals who want professional advise. The book is written by the much respected, well known and loved, 'Ed B', who was the US Olympic coach. Although published in 1985 we have the 1991 edition which is just as relevant as when it was first produced. It is a well written and easy to understand book which motivates as well as inspires. It advises on all areas of cycling from self awareness, cycling diaries and programs, diet, exercises, riding position and bike set up, clothing, riding techniques, correct saddle height etc.etc. Well illustrated and with photographs. Some of the dietary information
may have changed since the 91 edition, what with gels and drinks but principles are similar.
It feels as though there is another person in your life with this book, a personal coach, very rewarding and certainly improved my cycling performance. If the program is followed it will bring satisfying rewards.
