Very Thorough Resource; Could Use A Few More Diagrams

I picked up this e-book initially because I wanted to find some specific information on braking systems. I had been frustrated trying to answer enough of my questions on the Internet, or even with the manufacturer documentation, and I decided that finding a good book on the bikes would offer the best possibility for resolving my dilemma.

This proved to be a good hunch with this book. I found a nearly exhaustive resource for each featured topic, the range of which appears to cover every small bit of just about every generally available bike.

The one down side of this book, at least in the e-book format, was that it seemed a little thin on diagrams which would help to clarify some of the concepts being presented. The chapter which details brakes, for example, shows images of brakes, materials, and of cable adjustment / trimming. It is excellently detailed, but it features no imagery which helps to clarify some of those details related to aligning brake calipers.

There are certainly photos and diagrams throughout the book, it simply needs more to improve the delivery of its content.

Overall, I am very happy with the purchase of this book. I recommend it highly.
