Meet the Author

Mike Cox, an elected member of the Texas Institute of Letters, is the author of nineteen nonfiction books. After nearly two decades as an award-winning journalist, he began a long career as a state employee, first as a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, then as communication manager for the Texas Department of Transportation and currently, following a short-lived retirement, as a spokesman for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
