School Library Journal
PreS-Gr 2-Just about every kind of vehicle imaginable-anything that travels on land, in or under the water, or through the air-appears in this oversized import. Approximately 125 bright, full-color photos are used to illustrate the various types of vehicles. Each chapter is a two-page spread that displays 8-to-10 different examples from on the road, in the city, emergency, etc. Their arrangement on the page is somewhat random, with the photos placed in boxes of various shapes and sizes. Each item is labeled in large clear type with a sentence or two of description underneath. Sharp-eyed youngsters will catch some of the definitely European vocabulary and photos. This is a good purchase for beginning readers, but also for preschoolers who are crazy about all sorts of machines.-Eldon Younce, Harper Elementary School, KS

This is a great book for young children to look at the pictures. As they grow, they can absorb the good information given about each thing that goes. My 1 year old grandson and his father couldn't wait to look at this book.

I thought that this book would be thicker, with more material.
