Overview

Widely lauded by critics, colleagues, and readers, Zits is has been twice honored with the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award as the Best Newspaper Comic Strip, and received the Max and Moritz Award for Best International Comic Strip.

This treasury, Big Honkin' Zits, represents a compilation of Don't Roll Your Eyes at Me, Young Man! and Are We an "Us"?. With friends and family, Jeremy ponders life's great philosophical questions, such as, "If the universe is constantly expanding, how come the sky never gets any bigger?" He tackles serious issues, too, deciding with his buddy, Hector, to shave his head to support a friend's mom who's battling cancer.

Big Honkin' Zits masterfully guides its readers through the real-life joys and heartaches of being a teenager.

Editorial Reviews

KLIATT
The hilarious trials and tribulations of 15-year-old Jeremy are featured in the syndicated comic strip "Zits"; this volume, a sequel to the Humongous Zits treasury, brings together two collections, Don't Roll Your Eyes at ME, Young Man, and Are We an "Us"? Jeremy's ambition is to be a "rock god," but meanwhile he must contend with high school, well-meaning but clueless parents, and the ups and down of his relationship with his girlfriend, Sara. His best friend Hector offers support, luckily, and he's always got his rock band, the rusty van he and Hector are renovating, and his fantasies to help him pull through. Cartoonists Scott and Borgman really understand the yearnings and relationships of the teen years, and convey them wittily. Visually, the strips capture Jeremy's slovenliness and the characters' endlessly varied and amusing facial expressions; most are b/w, with some in color. All teens will find something to relate to and roar with laughter at here. Category: Miscellaneous. I Also Recommend:

Hilarious antics & laughs all around..

As an avid fan of Calvin & Hobbs & the Far Side (books very tattered from so much use!!), it has been rip roaring fun to read the ZITS Treasury books by Jerry Scott & Jim Borgman. Jeremy is a teenager who longs to drive & drives his parents crazy in the process (especially when he gets his learners permit!) He suffers from many things (messy-room, too-much-work-at-school & how-to-deal-with-girls syndromes).. He also thinks his parents are SO old (in this book when his father meets his favorite Gingivitis band, it's HILARIOUS as they are orthodontists too!) Even if you're not married or don't have kids, this book has something funny for everyone who remembers childhood challenges with parents, friends, high school et all.. Highly recommend!
