Editorial Reviews

BookPage
“[A] collection that will keep even the squirmiest kid out of trouble for hours.”
Children's Literature - Lisa Kuehne
Watch out Jeff Kinney, you have some great competition to your "Diary of a Wimpey Kid" series. This mixture of games, puzzles, and fun interactive tests will keep any kid entertained while sparking their creativity on a whole new level. The main character, Nate, is a sixth grader taken from a comic series who allows us inside his world. He shares such things as his secret code and then gives us a cartoon clip to decode his interactions. Every page has another mind challenging interactive activity to keep the reader entertained. Peirce has done an amazing job using a humorous character with a spunky, likeable personality, and engaging readers to bring their own stories into the book. Readers answer questions about their life and draw pictures of themselves in different scenes. The doodles in this book are great and the activities are challenging and interesting enough for any school aged reader. Jeff Kinney may need to come up with something else since Peirce will definitely rule the middle grade world. Reviewer: Lisa Kuehne
