    Holy Bible

I have requested this Big Red Holy Bible from the publisher Thomas Nelson. Waited for 6 weeks still no sight of the Bible. Usually Books from Booksneeze would arrive within 2-3 weeks.

Mamarazzi reported this to Booksneeze received immediate reply from them that they will be sending a replacement copy for me. The earlier copy must have got lost in transit.

When Auntie Cleffairy heard of my predicament, she offered to lend me her copy of Big Red Holy Bible so that I can do the review first.

The Big Red Holy Bible is a full-text of the International Children's Bible translation. It have a red cover with 3-D art. Suitable for children from age 6 to 10.

There is an extensive dictionary at the of the Old and New Testament there is an extensive dictionary.

In the section "Where do I find it?" is a alphabetical listing of people and events and where to find them in the scriptures.

There is also a section of God's promises, memory verses and some maps.

It is written in a simple and easy to understand English.

Overall this Big Red Bible is wonder. My only regret is that it's not hardcover. Bible is not a book where you read once and then stuff it away in a corner. It's more advisable to have it in hardcover so that the pages will be protected and the 3-D Art will last longer.

For your information, Tommy Nelson(a division of Thomas Nelson Publishers) have provided me with a copy of this (though it was lost in transit) through their Booksneeze book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Beautiful, easy to understand bible

"Big Red" Holy Bible - Contemporary 3-D Art is not your traditional bible, but it serves as a bible nevertheless. The good thing about this bible is that it's really pretty and easy to understand.

Features of this Bible include a dictionary, colorful maps, a "Where Do I Find It?" guide, and memory verses.

This bible is lightweight and small in size. Printed in paperback and very mobile. I highly recommend this bible to young children age 8 above. Younger children wouldn't be able to understand it as it's rather high in standard even though it's been simplified for children's understanding.

I also recommend this bible to adults who have difficulties understanding the bible or those who are studying bible on their own.

Thumbs up for the beautiful 3-D illustrations as well.I rate this, 5 out of 5.

    Beautiful bible

This is a full-text of the International Children's Bible.

The writing is simple and easy to understand for a child. At the end of the Old and New Testament there is an extensive dictionary. There is also a "Where do I find it?" section which list down the alphabetical listing of people and events and where to find them in the scriptures. Apart from that, there is also a section of God's promises, memory verses and some maps.

The only that I don't like about this Bible is that it is not hardcover. I feel that since it's intended for the Children, they should should make it hardcover so that it would be more durable.

It's recommended for kids age 9-12 years old but to me older kids also can use this

    I gave this 4 stars .

    International Children's Bible

This translation of the Bible is very easy to understand. I chose several favorite stories to read to my niece and nephew, which they enjoyed. The words used are simple and age appropriate for young children. I would have liked the printing to be a little larger for this age group, but it is still easy enough to read. I love the bold, colorful pictures and so does my 6 year old nephew. The picture on the cover is holographic, which he thought was great. (The cover is different from the one shown here on the website.)

Features of this Bible include a dictionary, colorful maps, a "Where Do I Find It?" guide, and memory verses.

I definitely recommend this version of the Bible for younger children, especially those just starting to read the Bible on their own.

    So so

What is the better way to learn about God and the Bible than to have an interesting view on scriptures. This book is a Bible that is made to keep kids interested and bring new light to Biblical stories. The translation is designed for children to read.

I excepted this Bible to be more intended for young children than it really was. I feel that this Bible would be good for an older child to a teenager. The translation is a bit more difficult to decipher than other kids bibles I have seen. Also I did not care for the picture, honestly they were a bit creepy and alien like. I am a lover of most Bibles, being a Biblical Studies Major in my undergrad, but this one I just did not care for. Just not for me I suppose.

    Bible3D

I got my first Bible when I was 12 years old. I didn't buy it, there was a contest in my friend's school in which we both participated as a team. Now I don't remember what contest it was, But I still have the first prize we both got - A hardbound bible with a colorful bookmark.

To be frank, I didn't feel like reading bible at that time, main reason was the language. My vocabulary was not good enough to read or understand Bible.

After few years, a teacher in college introduced me to the tamil translation of bible. This made things a bit more clear - Eventho' I still struggled to get meaning for certain words, the unique language / style they used to describe objects / actions was amazing.

Last week I started reading a special kind of bible. Its called 'International Children's Bible'. The main attraction is, the original Bible text is translated / retold in such a way that children can easily understand. To add more delight to the reading experience, this book has more than 30 beautiful graphics / 3D pictures. A very good gift for children.

The only negative thing about this amazing book is, papers used inside are too thin. As the people who are going to handle this book are very young children, it would have been better if the publishers used a different paper, which will lost longer even in their curious hands :)

Thanks to the initiative of Thomas Nelson, each Book of the Bible can be read and understood by our younger children, giving them the opportunity to come to Christ with an open heart and a free spirit.

    ICB Holy Bible

As a blogger for booksneeze.com it is with eager anticipation that I awaited for a copy of the International Children's Version ICB, translation of the bible with Contemporary 3-D Art by Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Though the ICB translation is specifically marketed for children , as an easy to understand modern version, it is a good resource for parents and other adults as well as children. I believe that many adult readers could benefit from a bible in simple easy to understand language. Obviously, as this particular ICB is heavily illustrated to appeal to a younger audience, many adults may not prefer to carry arround this boldy illustrated bible to church or bible study. Therefore you may prefer to read it in the privacy of your own bedroom, unless, of course, you covered the bible with a stretchy, stately, mature, navy blue book sox- but even then, the full color graphics would jump out as you turned the pages and betray the fact that you were using a children's bible. Thankfully for us mature folk: parents, grandparents, business professionals and college students, etc., there are many good easy to understand, modern versions that we as adults can choose from.

Even though older translations such as the King James Version may be traditional, beautiful and poetically written, if the reader can not understand the antiquated language, then reading it will be of little benefit for the reader. In fact, strict reliance on older versions by some religious institutions is at a great disservice to the membership of the church. A sample of this translation style- the ICB version- is illustrated by the verse in 2Corninthians10:13 - "But we will not brag about things outside the work that was given us to do. We will limit our bragging to the work that God gave us. And this work includes our work with you." Clearly this is a good translation for children as well as adults to understand. In contrast, this is the KJV: "But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you." It is more likely a child would be more receptive, and many adults for that matter, to the ICB version than the KJV.

This bible is not like a bedtime story book of selected bible stories, it is the actual complete bible text. So, if you are looking for a simple quick bedtime story book, this isn't for you. But, on the other hand if you wish to find an easy to understand complete version of the bible that will bring the words of the bible to life for your child...and even yourself, then this is a great choice. As a blogger for booksneeze, I wrote this review and the opinions exp[ressed are my own.

Big Red Holy Bible Contempary 3D Art

Children are going to love this Bible. The art is really fantastic and it is written in a way that children can easily comprehend. The pages jump out because the art work is so wonderful. Someone should have thought of this a long time ago: children need colorful images and simple words to help them and to motivate them and make them excited about God and getting to know Jesus. Mine is hard cover and has a different picture on the cover, so I dont understand why this is the only cover shown or why the soft cover shold be different from the hard cover. The art is excellent 3D work and I think children will really be encouraged to turn the page, if nothing else just looking at the art work will entertain them and at least get them thinking abut Jesus. This Bible will make a great Christmas gift or birthday present for any child upto 12 years old. I might go as high as 14 years of age just because the art work really is fantastic and children are very visually stimulated. I am all in favor of anything that brings children closer to God and I believe this bible will be an excellent motivator.

The Big Red Trustworthy, Fun Bible...

I could still remember my fascination when my parents tells me the story of Noah Arks, Adam and Eve's banishment from Heaven to Earth after eating the forbidden fruit and many more biblical stories when I was a child.

I really liked them, and knowing that I liked them alot, my father bought me a bible containing all of those biblical stories. But to my dismay, he bought me an adult version of bible where there's only words on it, and there's no way in Hell I could really understand the difficult language on the regular bible. The words are so small and difficult to read.

Children in this era are much luckier to have Children version of bible where the bibles are splashed with colours and pictures for reading pleasure and for better understanding.

When I saw this "Big Red" Holy Bible - Contemporary 3-D Art on Booksneeze shelf for reviews, I had to snatch it up immediately, because I know, that it'll be very useful for me to instill biblical knowledge on children under my charge. It'll make teaching easier and reading bible would no longer be lame or boring for the children. This "Big Red" Holy Bible - Contemporary 3-D Art published by Thomas Nelson Publisher is meant for children age 6-12 years old.

This is a very colourful and lively bible, and I daresay not only children will enjoy reading it, but adults as well. Perfect for Sunday mass and Sunday classes. :D I give this bible a full sparkling 5 stars and would recommend this bible for any good Christian family, with or without children.

I received this bible free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.

Bestseller book of all time- Holy Bible

Did you know that 'Bible' is a word derived from the Greek 'biblia' which literally means 'The Books'? Yes. it means 'The Books'. Notice that the word is in plural form, not singular, and this is applicable to Holy Bible itself, because the The Holy Bible itself is a compilation of 'books' and letters as well as scriptures.

The Christian Holy Bible is divided into two parts.

The first portion of the book is called the Old Testament, containing the 39 books of Hebrew Scripture, and the second portion is called the New Testament, containing a set of 27 books.

During the three centuries following the establishment of Christianity in the 1st century, Church Fathers compiled Gospel accounts and letters of apostles into a Christian Bible which became known as the New Testament.

The Old and New Testaments together are commonly referred to as "The Holy Bible".

God gives us bible as guidance.. and a way of life. Devout Christians ought to let their children read bible and tell them biblical stories when they're still young. There are many stories in the bible. like the creation of the world, the creation of Adam and Eve as well as the well famed Noah Ark. There's so many things one could learn from the bible.

Unfortunately, children are pretty much visual creature, and more often than not, they would like to 'see' what happened in the bible, And the problem with most Holy Bible is that it's picture-less, and little children would lost interest in learning about bible easily.

Now, with "Big Red" Holy Bible - Contemporary 3-D Art published by Thomas Nelson Publisher, children can enjoy reading bible as the stories in the bible came to life through the contemporary 3D art.

"Big Red" Holy Bible - Contemporary 3-D Art is a full-text of the International Children's Bible translation with bright red cover and contemporary art. this bible is printed especially for children ages 6 to 12. "Big Red" has been updated with an all new collection of beautiful full color pages, illustrating treasured Bible stories, making learning bible and instilling interest in bibles on your children more fun and easy instead of dull and boring.

How do I rate this bible? Hey, it's a bible. I'd rate this one 5 stars, of course, and would I recommend this? Of course I would. I would recommend this bible to not only children, but parents as well.

This bible is perfect for any Christian family, and if you manage to get your hands on this, don't be surprise if you found your kids reading them like reading their regular story books or novels. Thumbs up for this Bible.

I received this bible free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.
